Vincent Damon Furnier, known professionally as Alice Cooper, (born February 4, 1948 in Detroit Michigan) is an American rock singer, songwriter and musician who first fronted a band of the same name before becoming a solo artist. He is best known as the creator of a theatrical brand of rock music that would come to be known as shock rock.
