Annie Potts (born Anne Hampton Potts in Nashville, Tennessee on October 28, 1952) is an American actress best known for her roles in films such as Janine Melnitz in the Ghostbusters movies as well as her role as Mary Jo Jackson Shively on the TV sitcom Designing Women.
