Ashley McCall Scott (born July 13, 1977) is an American actress. She is known for her work on television and in film, including her roles in the television series Dark Angel, Birds of Prey, and Jericho. Ashley Scott began her career as a young girl when she began modeling. While living in Charleston, South Carolina, she entered a Millie Lewis Convention and won her division. After her sophomore year of high school, the 15-year-old went to New York City to pursue her modeling career. She eventually became a model for Elite Miami. Scott settled in Miami, where she became a catalog model, and a Giorgio Red spokesmodel. She appeared in fashion shows in Miami, Paris, and London. She has appeared on the cover of the The Hollywood Reporter and has been tracked by photographers from such publications as WWD, US Weekly and Cosmo Girl. Scott's audition for an Al Pacino film led her tape to a casting person at DreamWorks. She was subsequently cast in the small role of Gigolo Jane in the feature film AI: Artificial Intelligence, where she shared screen time with Jude Law's Gigolo Joe. In 2001, Scott broke into television when she was cast as Asha Barlow in the second season of Fox's science-fiction series Dark Angel, playing an ally to cyberjournalist Logan Cale (Michael Weatherly) and part of a group formed to expose government corruption. She was eventually upgraded from guest performer to recurring player. In February 2002, while still featured in her recurring role on Dark Angel, Scott was cast as Helena Kyle a.k.a the Huntress in the pilot for a WB series about post-Batman Gotham City and a trio of female crime fighters known as the Birds of Prey (loosely based on the DC Comics series of the same name). The series had a short run, ending mid-season. She was then cast in the pilot of the NBC Matt LeBlanc sitcom Joey in 2004, but she was replaced by Andrea Anders. From 2006 to 2008, she played Emily Sullivan in the CBS drama Jericho, during its entire two-season run. In 2009 Scott made a cameo appearance in the video for Jamie Foxx's Blame It. Scott has appeared in feature films including Just Friends, S.W.A.T., Trespassing, Walking Tall, Into the Blue, and, in 2009, 12 Rounds. |
