Stephen Andrew Baldwin (born May 12, 1966) is an American actor and the youngest of the Baldwin brothers. Stephen Baldwin: Early lifeBaldwin was born in Massapequa, New York, the son of Carol Newcomb (née Martineau), a breast cancer survivor who founded the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Care Center of the University Hospital and Medical Center at Stony Brook, and Alexander Rae Baldwin, Jr., a high school history and social studies teacher and a football coach. Stephen Baldwin is the brother of notable actors, Alec, Daniel and William, sometimes collectively known as the "Baldwin brothers." Baldwin was raised in a Roman Catholic family and is of Irish, English and French descent. Stephen Baldwin: CareerDuring his time at Berner High School, Baldwin was a successful opera singer. After high school, he attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts for one year, in a two year program, but, was kicked out because of his personal escapades. He played small roles in shows like Kate and Allie, "America's Most Wanted" and Family Ties, before landing his first adult feature film role, in the 1988 film The Beast. That role led to other parts, in the 1989 films Last Exit to Brooklyn and Born on the Fourth of July, as well as the television series The Young Riders. In 1995 he landed a breakthrough role in The Usual Suspects. Baldwin's next role was in Bio-Dome, in 1996. In 2002, Baldwin participated in Celebrity Mole Hawaii, the first celebrity edition of The Mole. ABC broadcast the program in early 2003. Later that year he returned for Celebrity Mole Yucatan, which ABC aired in early 2004. In 2003, Baldwin recorded a novelty song "My 18-Inch Biceps." While the song never hit radio or the charts, it became an underground internet sensation, topping several online music charts. The song lightheartedly bragged about his trademark well-built physique and good looks. In August 2007, Baldwin was back on television when CMT cast him in Ty Murray's Celebrity Bull Riding Challenge, one of nine celebrities cast. In the first episode, Baldwin was injured in a bad fall from a wooden pontoon, breaking his shoulder blade and cracking a rib. Under doctor's orders, he left the show in the second episode. In the same year, Baldwin, Mario D'Ortenzio and Bobby Brewer founded Breakthrough Ministries, which was designed to utilize extreme sports as a ministry via arena tours, which were referred to as, "AsSalt Tours," and featured extreme sports celebrities, with Christian Hosoi being the most notable one. In 2007 Daniel Southern joined Baldwin as President of his ministries. In late 2008 Baldwin formed a for-profit organization called Antioch Ministry, which exists "to facilitate the gifts and calling of Stephen Baldwin.". In 2009 Baldwin and Southern launched a third ministry called "Now More Than Ever" designed to reach enlisted men and women in the military around the world. In 2008, Baldwin teamed up with conservative, evangelical Christian talk-radio host Kevin McCullough to put together a Saturday radio show called, "Baldwin/McCullough Xtreme Radio." As of April 18, 2009, the show airs on more than 195 stations and in more than 370 cities across the country. In 2006, he launched a campaign to prevent an adult bookstore from opening in Nyack. He was a strong supporter of the McCain/Palin presidential ticket after Mike Huckabee dropped out of the 2008 presidential race. He has a tattoo on his left shoulder of the initials "HM" for Hannah Montana. His daughters are fans of Hannah Montana, and he got the tattoo after making a pact with Miley Cyrus that he would be allowed to cameo on the show if he had the initials tattooed on him. Baldwin's home in Upper Grandview, (Rockland County) N.Y. was being auctioned at the County Court House steps on June 12, 2009 after Bankers Trust Co. foreclosed on the home. He filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy in New York on July 21, 2009, according to a court document that says he is millions in debt.
