Editorial Review:
SHE'S ONE TOUGH MOTHER
Roxy Reynolds learned the rules of the street nearly two decades ago as a low-level member of what was once New York City's most powerful drug organization. She was also a mom at fourteen years old, and did what she had to do to raiseher daughter, Chyna. Now Chyna's all grown up, a stunningly beautiful exoticdancer with a baby girl of her own, while super-sexy Roxy is at the height ofher power running Harlem Heat, a gun-trafficking ring. It's a lucrative life-style some would do anything to have. And when former drug kingpin Panama Petereturns to the hood after serving fifteen years in prison, a spiral of violencetraps Roxy and Chyna and has them running from the law - and running for theirlives.
Harlem Heat Reviews:
THE BOOK WAS GOOD THE ENDING WAS WACK-JUICE!!!!!!
2008-06-26 - I REALLY DID ENJOY THIS BOOK UNTIL I GOT TO THE ENDING... I AM SO DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!!!! WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?????????? I WOULD REALLY HATE TO RUIN THIS FOR ANYONE SO I'LL JUST SAY IT'S WORTH THE PRICE.. THE DOLLAR AND SOME CHANGE PRICE BECAUSE THE ENDING WAS WORTH JUST THAT... I FEEL EXTREMELY TEASED AND I WANT MORE!!!!!!
HARLEM HEAT
2007-12-10 - Mark Anthony should continue this saga. I would like to see if mother, and daughter could break out of prison.
Heat up in Harlem.......
2007-11-08 - I just finished reading this book and I must say I really did like. I am not to big on the way it ended. *I have many question that I would like to be answered. I hope this is not the end of the mother and daughter team....
Harlem is on fire!
2007-10-10 - Of course, because it was a G-Unit book it was very quick. But I have to say that I really like this book because it was very fast-paced. Something was always happening. Roxy & Chyna were crazy! I mean a mother and daughter team? Crazy! They killed me with doing the dirt with Nina in the car, putting the baby in danger like that but hey! The only reason I give it 3.5 stars is because of the vague ending; i guess you have to draw your own conclusions....
Harlem Heat
2007-09-23 - Roxy and Chyna are supposed to be running a lucrative gun-trafficking ring.
Panama Pete comes home from doing a 15 year bid in prison. Roxy takes him in and tries to help him get on his feet. Panama ends up milking her out of some cash, clothes and a truck; and now she's broke. I guess the gun running business in not so profitable.
Now the Bloods want to purchase some guns, they front the money. Guess what? The house is robbed. Now with no money, Roxy comes up with the brilliant plan on how to get the money back, which now has them on the run.
Harlem Heat was moving along, until the end. What happened? The book just ended, leaving me with a bunch of unanswered questions.
