2005-12-18 - When I first picked this up back in 2003 when 50 Cent was hot, I was thinking highly. I mean, a full-blown documentary, music videos, new songs and sessions@aol at my disposal. Once I saw the documentary, all I have to say is that I cant understand a damn thing that 50 Cent is saying. He cant speak English to save his life, and that destroyed everything because I couldn't hear a f***ing thing that he was talking about. As for the music videos, it was 50 Cent walking around with his ho's with his muscle shirt and his 9's with his g-unit gangstaz. The sessions@aol was a joke. The extra tracks sucked. All in all, a huge waste of money. So, it is used rehularly as a coaster.

2005-06-25 - The New Breed is a fairly informative DVD on 50 Cent. It mentions how he left the gangster drug business to rap, and his first hip hop producers. He was also in the underground, a major part of why he is successful. It depicts how he was shot and he shows the wounds. The DVD also describes how he was dropped of Columbia records in 2000, and later created a buzz in New York with no major record label backing him up. The DVD also has concert performances and a couple of music videos. If you don't understand why he calls himself 50 Cent, the DVD will explain it for you. 50 Cent does describe some of his struggles, but the DVD would have been much better if it was more like a documentary. the downfall of it is that it doesn't describe his past well enough, or how important being in the hip hop underground was. Overall it's a fairly good DVD on 50, and he is shaped to be one those legendary artists like Biggie and Tupac. he is hip hop to the core, and that's why he has respect from the Rolling Stone.

All of these rappers and duos are wayy better than the (...) your hearing on the radio, BET, MTV, MTV2 or whatever station the world is pushing at your faces. im telling you rap first reached its downfall of pop rap category since 2000 when Big Pimpin and Back That Thang Up first came out. now its goota be put to a halt. is this the message we want america to hear and follow? hoes, money, women, guns, cars, ice, is this the message i want my kids to read and to make them thing this is ok and this is everything in the world? why cant these rappers rap about something more meaningful like how hard it was to grow up in the ghetto or racism or politics? Rap needs an uplift, expand your mind into good rap and you will go far.

Good Dvd, Not Great Though
2005-01-17 - This dvd isn't as bad as alot of people say it is. Sure its not near one of the best dvds ever, but it's still alright. 50's voice doesn't sound very good in concert, it sounds totally diferrent to what it does on "Get Rich Or Die Tryin'". The film-clips are good and the documentary is alright, it's not a documentary on 50's life though, it's about him getting shot & how he got a record deal and s**t like that. There is also some alright bonus footage. The bonus cd is pretty average. Overall, this cd is worth getting if you're a 50 fanatic, if not don't bother.
