Many hits have been amassed by Aaron over the years, indeed he is one of the most enduring vocalists of the pop world, but none could ever surpass the magical brilliance of "Tell It Like It Is". Many have heard his work over the years, few have heard the original album that spawned this masterpiece. Here is the original 1965 album restored to its original luster thanks to modern technology and expert re-mastering. The original artwork has been restored as well as the original liner notes. For the first time, information on the musicians who participated on these historic sessions is also included.

disappointment 
2008-04-05 - I was more than a bit disappointed in this disc; however I knew it was a remastered mix so should have been prepared.
A Classic, But Not Stereo as Promised 
2006-01-16 - I'm an Aaron Neville fanatic, and was excited by this beautifully packaged reissue of his Par-Lo album,
but the sticker on the CD said "Remastered in Stereo"
and it's in straight MONO. I know a stereo master exists,
as this original hit version of the song "Tell It Like It Is"
was released in stereo on a Rhino compilation a few years ago.
Still a great sounding classic!
Where it all began.. 
2005-08-01 - Here's the original album that Aaron's signature song is derived and if you think it's the only hit on the album, you're dead wrong. I bought this CD strictly to have the original version of Tell It Like It Is and was pleasantly surprised to find out what a great album this was. The big plus with this edition besides the remastered sound, is the inclusion for the first time of information on the original sessions. Musicians that played on these sessions have been a mystery for years - finally someone had the smarts to do a little research and give the musicians their just due (which include Deacon John and Willie Tee for starters) This is THE VOICE's first solo album, now that it's done up right, what are you waiting for? This is a must have for any fan of New Orleans R&B.
