Description of Highway to Hell:
What Highway to Hell has that Back in Black doesn't is Bon Scott, AC/DC's original lead singer who died just months after this album was released. Scott had a rusty, raspy, scream of a voice, like he might break into a coughing fit at any moment. In other words, on crunchy, hook-heavy metal classics like the title track, and on "Get It Hot" which is more roadhouse rock than metal, he had the perfect instrument for such wild-living anthems. Too perfect, it turned out. --David Cantwell
Highway to Hell Reviews:
The Best AC/DC Album!
2009-09-26 - Before Bon Scott died, he managed to make a great classic with AC/DC. Although AC/DC had made great albums like "High Voltage" and "Let There Be Rock", Highway to Hell was even better and more "sinful". In my opinion Bon had better voice for AC/DC than the present singer. The powerful title track, "Girls Got Rhythm", and "Touch Too Much" are maybe the best-known tracks in this album. I really love the other songs too. "Walk All Over You" and "Beating Around the Bush" are very clever and humorous tracks. "Shot Down In Flames" is pure AC/DC as its best. "Get It Hot" and the dark "Night Prowler" are my least favorite tracks in this album but still they are very good. "If You Want Blood (You've Got It)" was also the title tracks of their live album which was released before "Highway to Hell". I don't know many songs that would be released after the album of the same name but at least "Houses of the Holy" by Led Zeppelin and "For the Sake of Revenge" are other examples. "Love Hungry Man" another, beautiful, quite slow track. Well, a great album from AC/DC, and no wonder it is usually in top100 all-time best rock album lists.

AC/DC till death do us part
2009-09-01 - I've always been an AC/DC fan since 1975. Although I am 61 years old my old bones are still full of rock 'n roll.AC/DC: Plug Me In (3 disc Limited Edition)
Some of the BEST Rock and Roll You'll ever hear!!!!!!
2009-08-24 - This Album is one of the best albums ever released by AC/DC. Next to "Back and Black" this album has some great hits like, "Highway To Hell", "Touch To Much" and "If You Want Blood (You've Got It)". All these songs have some great choruses and amazing solos and riffs. If you're looking for some of America's best rock you definitely want to buy this album. I doubt that you'll regret your purchase and in fact you'd probably be interested in the "Back and Back" album and "Black Ice" albums as well. Every time I listen to the "Highway To Hell" album I get chills and just have to crank the volume higher! So, in short, this is one of the best albums you'll ever buy.
P.S. Send emails to iTunes and ask them to put AC/DC in the iTunes store. As hard as it is to believe, iTunes still does not have a contract with AC/DC. Hopefully with enough emails, they will speed up the process.
The final album with Bon
2009-08-14 - This album is a masterpiece. The title was rather creepy consider the soon after passing of Bon Scott. This album emcompasses what AC/DC is all about, for me not as strong as their earlier Bon Scott era work but still excellent and revelent today. Awesome album.
It's a sin not to own this album...
2009-08-05 - If you are a rock n roll fan you must own this album! AC/DC's last release with Bon Scott is a milestone that started the AC/DC phenomenon in the US. The album starts off with one of the greatest guitar riffs of all time and just keeps coming! There are songs about having fun with your girl, getting down and dirty, life on the road, being rejected, and sneaking into your girlfriend's room at midnight. The whole album is fantastic and is a MUST HAVE for any true rock n roll fan. It's full of those awesome riffs and clever lyrics and will have you tapping your feet, banging your head, air drumming, air guitar playing, ect. Just buy this album, you'll enjoy it.
