Working Girl: Original Soundtrack Album Reviews:
Welcome the new Jerusalem
2008-09-20 - Fantastic album full of great music. My question is - did she read "The Keys of Enoch" before she wrote this music?
RIGHT OFF THE MOVIE...
2007-01-18 - Soundtracks of yesteryears... This one has some great melodies but they were simply "cut-and-pasted" from the movie right unto the CD. Some very nice tunes didn't end very well 'coz, you guessed it, they were meant for the scenes. Would've preferred the score to have its own re-recording.
Three great songs makes an album! (sometimes)
2006-10-27 - I primarily bought this soundtrack for Carly Simon's beautiful resounding voice, in the first track, "Let the River Run". Since I heard that theme from watching the movie, I never forgot it....it took me seven years to track down where (this was before the Internet's time) the song's name, and which album it belonged to....but the wait is certainly well worth it!
I'd forgotten how good the rest of the track was: Women in Red, sung by Chris Deburgh is a nice mellow ballad, which I often play when I feel the need to.
And, the Pointer Sister's, I'm so Excited is a fine song to exercise/dance to (as someone eluded to)
you won't regret buying this album!
Motivational music
2003-07-24 - In 1991 this album became my primary motivational music that helped me bike more than 50 miles a week and lose close to 50 pounds. I wore out two tapes and tape players in an 8-month time period. If you're looking for something to add to your motivational archive, this is a good one.
great music!
2002-01-12 - Loved it. Hope to play it often.
