Instant Star features 18 year old Alexz playing the younger Jude Harrison, a naive singer struggling with the emotional highs and lows of becoming a star. 2008-05-04 - this album is sooo good. ive listened to it over & over again. I would highly recommend it to any1 who likes upbeat songs. Superbe Alex!!
Good First Album 
2007-02-15 - This is a great CD for teenage girls. It covers subjects from relationships to being yourself. You will enjoy listening to it no matter what mood you're in. A great thing about this is that the lyrics pretty much anyone can relate to and Alexz has a good voice. There's 3 songs I haven't heard completely so Im not going to bother in rating them.
1. 24 Hours 8/10: Good song but gets old after you listen to it for too much.
2. Temporary Insanity 8.5/10: Cool song. The lyrics are a bit cliche to me but nice anyway.
3. Waste My Time 7/10: Not the best
4. Let Me Fall 10/10: I never get tired of this one. Conveys strong emotions and its perfect for Alexz's voice.
5. Skin 9/10: Very very good. Deep and you can almost feel the pain she feels.
6. I'm In Love With My Guitar 5/10: Dont have much to say about this one
8. Time To Be Your 21 10/10: I love love the lyrics. Awesome song
11. Pick Up The Pieces 9.5/10: I love when Alexz vocalizes in this song. It sounds perfect. Aesome pop song although the lyrics are extremely corny.
12. Your Eyes 10/10: As you can see I mostly like the ballads hehe. Very romantic song.
13. That Girl 10/10: Great song

Love this cd...
2006-12-13 - I love Instant Star and have been a fan of Alexz Johnson since her So Weird Days. It's good to see that her voice and her has matured for the best. This cd is amazing and i highly recommend it even if you don't watch the show it's still a good cd. Alexz has an amazing voice that radiates every emotion in the song. Every song is amazing so I think it definitely deserves the 5 stars i'm giving it.
