Editorial Review:
A Hundred Miles or More: Live From The Tracking Room features Alison Krauss, one of the purest and most original voices in American music, performing songs from her critically acclaimed solo album A Hundred Miles or More: A Collection with members of her highly-regarded band Union Station and special guest musicians. One of the stand out features of this DVD is the only live performance of the country smash hit duet "Whiskey Lullaby" with country superstar Brad Paisley. It also features memorable duets legendary singer/songwriter James Taylor, British rocker John Waite, and an infectious take on "Sawing on the Strings" with bluegrass guitar legend Tony Rice and musicians Sam Bush and Stuart Duncan joining Union Station.

A Hundred Miles Or More: Live From the Tracking Room Reviews:
Audiophile Heaven
2009-10-18 - Absoulutely spectacular rcording and sound quality-true to the best of Alison's recording crew. Her last two cd's(100 Miles or More and Lonely Runs Both Ways were top notch but this takes the cake. Incredible detail and freq range bring out best in Alison's voice which seems to get better all the time any way even as she approaches forty years in age, The bass tightness and richness will knock you out of your chair. The most amazing thing at all is the staging and channel seperation absolutely amazing for a live studio recording-amazing by any standards. One of the things I love about Alison so much is her wilingness to no compramise financially on recoridng equipment and technology, I would say this disc has better sound quality than 90% of the SACD's and DVD Audio's in existence.
Musically (if your not an audophile) I don't now if I'd reccommend this to any one who anyone who already has the 100 miles or more CD unless you love to look at Alison as much as you like listneing(as I do)She looks real good. The versions of the songs are maybe a little more emotional but not that much different
Who doesn't love Alison Krauss!!
2009-10-11 - The only thing wrong with Alison Krauss is that she is not prolific enough with her artistry. Her amazing voice is her art, of course. She should make more CDs, and more DVDs of her concerts.
There are so many styles and voices out there, but there is only one Alison Krauss! Her haunting melodies stay with you into the night. You never forget them. Her guests were wonderful on this DVD. Especially James Taylor!
Great performance - so so sound
2009-10-11 - Loved the performance as usual - but disappointed in the 2ch Dolby after hearing her in surround sound on previous releases. If a reviewer says 2ch Dolby sounds great they're probably listening on a BOSE. Caveat emptor.
A Must For Alison Krauss Fans
2009-07-11 - While Alison Krauss is best know for her work in the Blugrass genre This DVD allows Alison to showcsae her streaching out a bit into a more Americana style of music that she can do with ease backed by the members of her band Union Station.Dan Tyminsky(A Man Of Constant Sorrow)Ron Block and Dobro prodigy Jerry Douglas.Among the guests include James Taylor,Prad Paisly and bluegrass giants Tony Rice and Sam Bush.I only gave the DVD four stars due to the short duration of the DVD that really leaves you wanting for more.
allison krauss 100 miles or more
2009-07-08 - Nice compilation of Allison's solo work, collaboration with other talented artists, and commentaries. The DVD is of excellent quality; it seems almost like high definition. Any Allison Krauss fan will appreciate this DVD.
