In fact, Susan's feeling pretty jaded about life in general. Her job has lost its charms; she hasn't found a great author for ages and takes out her wrath on the office staff. Even her widowed brother and his young family have given up on Susan. Enter Suzie, an irrepressible seven-year-old. She literally haunts her aunt over the festive season, cajoling her into experiencing joys and feelings long since buried. Then Thom Weller appears on the scene: he's the magical writing talent Susan has always dreamt about. But Thom presents opportunities that go way beyond the professional. 2009-12-26 - What a great movie. We watch this every year. Charming, funny, sad, great reminder to slow down and smell the roses, etc. I LOVE Ally Walker, perfect for this role!

The Usual Holiday Feel-Good Movie
2009-09-29 - The main program is about a modern day 'scrooge' who is as hard as a rock and cannot for the life of her enjoy one moment of the holidy season. Then along comes a magical 'angel' who begins to peel off the layers of this woman's steel. The movie is obviously predictable from beginning to end, but for those looking to receive a light 'light-hearted' feeling, they get what they are looking for.

I don't mind 'feel-good' movies, holiday or otherwise; but I just could not get into these characters. Once in awhile I get that warm feeling, then one of the main characters zaps it away. Aside from the movie, you also get a Biographies section for Ally Walker and Hayden Panettiere. Films, awards, and various other achievements are listed for these two actresses.

The movie left a pleasing touch in my memory
2009-09-24 - I didn't know anything about the movie. I picked up the movie from a moving sale. The storyline seemed pretty interesting. I love movies that inspire to live a better life. I am mesmerized by the movie. It is so heartwarming and uplifting. When I checked the rating of the movie in Amazon I felt good knowing that a lot of people liked it too! I love movie reviews in Amazon, they are done more humanly than like a serious film critic. If you have not watched this movie please give it a try.

2009-04-07 - "IF YOU BEILEVE" IS AN EXCELLENT FAMILY MOVIE FOR CHRISTMAS, OR ANY TIME. WE ENJOYED IT A LOT.IT WAS VERY HARD TO FIND A COPY,THOUGH, BUT WORTH IT.
