Could have been special 
2009-01-18 - This could have been a really good family movie except that it has no link to reality. There are no mountain towns in North Carolina without hospitals or access to medical care and the child of the female mayor in the story would not have used the grammar she did. Maybe, 100 years ago, there would have been such a place.
I Love This Film
2008-07-22 - I love this film. I have seen "Country Remedy" and want two copies to give as gifts. It is story about grief and transformation. I laughed and cried - the characters are so real. The story is beautiful and the mountain setting is beautiful. This is the kind of story you want to see again and to share.
Great Film - Touching Character Journeys
2008-05-09 - This is a touching indie movie, perfect for when you need a break from all those action blockbusters and want to watch a movie centered around characters & their personal journeys. The N. Carolina mountain scenery is an ideal place for the main character Dr. Gibbs (Cameron Bancroft)and his son to face up to their grief over the loss of their wife/mother. The colorful characters of the community add humor and warmth to the story. Actress Bellamy Young is pitch perfect from her character's first encounter with the Dr. Gibbs. The payoff at the end of the film is emotional and powerful. I definitely recommend this film!
Excellent Family Movie
2008-04-29 - The DVD, Country Remedy, is an excellent family movie. It is really a "feel good" movie. I would especially recommend this movie for those in Western North Carolina.
