Editorial Review:
Kate is dying. She wants reassurance that there is life elsewhere in the Universe. She and Andy go to the one place that may hold the answers to her questions. Alien lights have been seen. Alien ships have been sighted. If she could only come into contact with these foreign forces! The bizarre people who inhabit the area also play a role in Kate and Andy's quest. The one place that may hold the answer is...GROOM LAKE!
Groom Lake Reviews:
Go rent it!
2007-11-26 - I found this "gem" to be highly entertaining. Sure, it is not the best movie, but if you are a Shatner fan you've got to see it. The gospel singer is especially good, though it was a shame that most of her scenes were cut.
Explode movie with hydrogen bomb!
2006-03-09 - I agree with some of the other customers. This movie was absolutely theee worst!! The acting was bad, the script was bad,
the whole plot was bad!! But you know what? I'm gonna buy it!
The reason is it was filmed in our home town in Arizona and my
son got to be in the movie! He was the one who saved the alien from the evil man's clutches and freed the alien off of the tow truck where he was imprisoned. So in a sense, my boy was the hero of the movie! So that's why I'm buying this classic! Maybe some day my boy will make it big and someday say "remember when....?".
shoot this movie to the stars
2003-08-12 - Absolutely the worst sci-fi movie ever made. The filming is much to close up and more suited to x-rated movies. Script, acting and directing aren't much better and the special effects (or the lack of it) are very low-budget. Don't buy or even rent this. See "Communion", "Roswell", "Fire in the Sky" or "Intruders" for some serious UFO stuff.
A Fun Story
2003-03-18 - A couple seeking the truth about alien visitors, the commander of a secret military base at Groom Lake trying to complete one last project, and assorted UFO fanatics demonstrating dubious sanity all collide in a movie that may not win very many oscars, but is thoroughly enjoyable.
Greatest film of 2003
2003-03-01 - Not since Gone with the Wind has one film towered above an enire movie season. This is such a movie. The story is topical and enriching. The special effects are the BEST of any movie relased in the last 10 years. The direction is pinpoint. Mr. Shatner has created a gem of science fiction and losing love. Come academy award time, i expect mulitple nominations.
