Uplifting Christian Pop/Folk Music!
2009-10-18 - Songs From The Loft is a unique collection of folk/pop oriented Scripture songs that are both edifying and uplifting.
This collection of songs features a who's who of Christian song writers and Christian musicians. Writer/performers Amy Grant, Susan Ashton, Gary Chapman and Kim Hill offer up a really refreshing & unpretentious catalog of Christian songs.
Highly underrated, this CD seems to have flown under the radar of "Contemporary Christian Music" perhaps for lack of promotion or Christian radio air play. I remember when it first came out in 1993. After becoming a born-again Christian this was one of the first CD's I purchased and I really found it edifying and encouraging in my walk with the Lord!
My favorites are: "Seek First" "Where Do I Go?" and "We Believe In God".
(Some of the choruses are a bit repetitive) but the over all quality of these songs far outweigh this fact.
Most of what we refer to as "Christian Contemporary Music" today could not hold a candle to this excellent collection of truly spiritual songs.
A must have for Christian families. This is Spirit-filled music both children and their parents can enjoy!

2009-04-20 - Songs from the LoftThis is one of those cd's that is a flash from the past. I had to get it when I found it because the song "We Believe In God" was one that my kids sang when they were little for their grandparents and extended family...it's a treasure!
Just as I expected
2009-01-07 - CD was exactly what I had expected it to be when I finally got it. It's always good to discover some things you can rely on. I trust almost everything I read and every transaction I make with Amazon. Although this last one is so far the least satisfying purchase I've made because of (1) difficulty/complication in payment when I used a VISA pre-paid card and (2) the delay of shipping/delivery, I still think that Amazon and the vendor did a good job in making sure everything ran smoothly in the processing of my order. Thank you very much!

2008-12-18 - This is a very well produced CD.I thoroughly enjoy it. One of Amy Grant's very best.
