Editorial Review:
Millions will rejoice this holiday season with the much-anticipated release of Andrea Bocelli's My Christmas. The first-ever Christmas recording from Andrea is a heart-warming collection of seasonal favorites produced by the legendary David Foster. The lush, beautiful arrangements alongside Bocelli's unmistakable soaring vocals make this a must-have holiday recording. Highlights include "White Christmas," "Oh Holy Night," "Santa Claus is Coming to Town," "Jingle Bells," "Silent Night," "The Christmas Song," and "What Child Is This" among others. My Christmas will also be a major component of a PBS Great Performances special to air on Public Television this December, featuring Andrea and David Foster with additional special guests.

My Christmas Reviews:
he sounds like a drunk canadian 1 Star Review
2009-12-27 - on the soap opera, "the young and the restless," there is a character named phillip.
phillip has an odd accent -- i just can't make it out. i think he's canadian and well, he sounds like he's saying "duh" before he says his lines.
bocelli sounds the same on this christmas cd.
blue christmas is just laughable -- it's so slowly paced that they must have been drinking (hey andrea's drunk, let's slow this sucker down so he can keep up).
jingle bells has this this big sentimental build up - before breaking into a rousing drunken, canadian sounding version, only to slow down again - only to speed back up again with the sound of drunks singing along. then, as only a drunk with minimal talent can do, bocelli breaks into a pavaratti version of the tune changing pace so often i was getting nauseous, and i don't drink.
i swear he's bob or doug mckenzie's long lost brother andrea.
i know bocelli's blind, but is he deaf?
this is just terrible.
duh, ya better watch out, duh, ya better, so like lets go get some tuborg.

My Christmas 4 Star Review
2009-12-26 - December 26, 2009.

This is Andrea Bocelli's first holiday-themed album (unless you count 'Sacred Arias' as a Christmas album), and its success on the Billboard 200 Album Chart is partly testament to Bocelli's unique talent, and also to the return of the knockout collaboration between Bocelli and his longtime producer, David Foster. I received this for Christmas, and after the first listen, I was simply ecstatic.

From the first track, an English/Italian cover of Bing Crosby's 'White Christmas,' to the concluding track, 'God Bless Us Everyone' (which appeared in the Disney movie 'A Christmas Carol'), Bocelli brings life to virtually every song he chooses here. He collaborates with some veterans of the music industry on some well-done holiday favorites; these veterans include Natalie Cole ('The Christmas Song'), hip-hop songstress Mary J. Blige ('What Child is This' - superb work on this rendition), and even Reba McEntire ('Blue Christmas,' originally made famous by singers such as Elvis Presley).

Of all the songs on this album, I would have to say 'I Believe' (with Katharine Jenkins) and the aforementioned 'God Bless Us Everyone' are the standout tracks. With powerful lyrics and great arrangements, those two songs are guaranteed to hit listeners deep (it worked for me).

All in all, 'My Christmas' has plenty of musical and artistic highs and generally few lows. It might not impress everyone, but it'll most definitely impress die-hard Bocelli fans.

Well done.

Well worth the wait 5 Star Review
2009-12-26 - We have enjoyed Andrea Bocelli for the past few years. Our only complaint was 'He never did a Christmas album. He has now!! It is a great mix of lively traditional Christmas music, to very sacred Christmas songs. He shares his talent with very well selected partners for amazing duets. Like I said "It was well worth the wait"

It's not what I thought... 3 Star Review
2009-12-26 - I thought the selection would be better. I was disapponted. Did not play this music as much as the others in my collection. That was a sign, I liked my others better. I'm a big fan of his too!

One song makes the whole album worth it 4 Star Review
2009-12-26 - Bocelli's stunning rendition of "The Lords Prayer" performed with The Mormon Tabernacle Choir
is worth getting the album.
