2009-11-09 - This is a great CD; I had the double album right after it came out, and have been longing for the CD. This is the original London cast recording; with all the original artists. Andrew Lloyd Weber at his best!

2009-09-26 - For those who are trying to figure out which one of the many JCS recordings is the beloved "brown cover" that they grew up with, this **is** that recording, just remastered with a new cover. Same recording, with marginally clearer sound.

2009-06-28 - Listening to the remastered original studio concept album of "Jesus Christ Superstar" was the most glorious of trips into the past. The energy of the players, new to what was then new material, is palpable throughout- so the now iconic songs are fresh and new again, and I loved them all over again.

2009-06-03 - This particular recording of Jesus Christ Superstar has long been a favorite of mine. I thought the individual recordings and performances were excellent and definitely preferred them over other versions of the album, including the original London or Broadway cast recordings. I was glad to be able to find it on Amazon for a much better price than elsewhere.
A LANDMARK IN THE HISTORY OF MUSICALS
2009-05-14 - It's interesting to notice that after several decades since this recording caused polemics and scandal is now one of the most important pieces of musical theatre. Diferent from the movie soundtrack, this album is THE album you should get if you talk about original recordings. This digitally remastered version sounds spectacular and the voices are wonderful. Don't think it twice and get this one at once: it's the very best version I've ever listened for this wonderful, outstanding work of art.
