Heart Beeps!
2009-06-11 - Great, nearly impossible movie to find on dvd!! mint condition! great price! lightning fast shipment!! Very heart touching movie with lots of laughs from Robo-Cop too!
The future of rbots... in 1995
2008-10-15 - I enjoy these 'cult' movies from the 80s. I always saw the movie trailers as a child, but never got to experience it until years later on VHS (which was too expensive to purchas like Electric Dreams from MGM). So I am glad this finally made its way to DVD at an afordable price.
Its also interesting to see this movie set in 1995 (13 years ago in our time), where robots are fully evolved. The story is a fairytale for robots who want to be free and experience human emotions. The 'Crimebuster' reminds me of a Dalek from Dr. Who.
All in all if you enjoy robots, scifi, etc, this movie is for you.
painfully boring and inept "comedy"
2006-10-04 - kaufman is utterly wasted in this film, the few laughs are of course due to his funny vocal inflections but there is nothing else going on in this movie. thank god i rented this movie for only a dollar. rent it if you must but beware
Pretty weak family entertainment. Worth a curiosity rental at best.
2005-08-23 - Andy Kaufman and Bernadette Peters are robots in futuristic 1995 in this little-seen 1981 Christmas release. ValCom 89045 (Kaufman) and AquaCom 17485 (Peters) meet and fall in love and even build a baby out of spare parts! Comic relief is attempted but not achieved by a Henny Youngman-type robot called Catskil (get it?). The only things this curiosity has going for it are a meager 79-minute running time and some inventive makeup designed by Stan Winston.
Your kids may never speak to you again if you force them to sit and watch this, which may not necessarily be a bad thing.
Finally On DVD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2005-07-14 - I'm glad to see this great Andy Kaufmann Comedy Classic about Robots dealing with human emotions also starring Bernedette Peters and Randy Quaid finally being released on DVD.So,check it out!!!!!
