Just One Zip--A Small Dose of R&B!
2009-09-27 - This Limited Edition is a seven series sampler from the multi-platinum album titled, "Ashanti". The songs flow smoothly bringing the sensations of love on high! Light some candles, unwind, or just kick back to music that will refresh your soul R&B style! Not quite the full album version yet a nice small dose to get some R&B sensations going on strong!

For the inspired individual who believes in his or her goals DREAMS will take you there. Then there's the heart-ache of love gone wrong and the feelings that go with it on the song OVER. The reality of loosing someone so special can be quite destructive and the reminiscing only makes it more unbearable. For those who enjoy Ashanti's vocals, BABY showcases a very crystal clear sound. The song brings the passion of someone's kiss, the power to hypnotize fiercely, and the desire to drive in a frenzy at an all time high.

FOOLISH has the kind of childish behavior of going back to someone no matter what --as she sings, "my heart can take no more... I keep running back for more... my days are cold without you...". It's the strange things that love can make someone do." HAPPY has Ashanti's singing mentioning the magic of true love. "I've been feeling for you... I'm so happy... Boy you got me feeling so good... My love is so good that I wouldn't be without you... I've been searching for you so bad...". Ja Rule is only heard in the beginning. LEAVING (ALWAYS ON TIME PART II) FEAT. JA RULE is one of my favorites for the catchy style and hooks.

Ashanti fans will get a short and sweet sample of some of the hits from her first album definitely appealing and enjoyable. New listeners will definitely find this to be a nice buy as they get a taste of what to expect. The hip-hop sound is not intense in this album but rather a mellow R&B effect

Missing the Meat off of the Bone
2003-12-06 - This "Sampler" might have her singles, but you're still missing songs that did not get the credit they deserve, like Call, my favorite song off of her debut. I like it that they to took away those boring skits. Dreams and Movies could have been replaced with Call and Rescue to make it sound better. That's why this cd gets a two instead of four!!!

The Best Of The Best
2003-05-25 - Even though this CD only has 7 tracks it's still a hit. They took the best tracks of Ashanti's hit debut record and put them on here. If you were unsure about buying the normal disc just buy this and you get it cheaper with the best songs. Don't miss out!
