Bittersweet World Reviews:
A Rebel *All-The-Way* 5 Star Review
2009-12-01 - Ashlee Simpson turns heads of critics, fans, and new listeners as she spins fast, fun, energizing tracks along mellow ones definitely strong in message, fierce, yet soft in the most subtle of ways. While the U.K. version has the bonus tracks INVISIBLE, PIECES OF ME, and BOYFRIEND, this Japanese Edition features the DJ AM/ELI ESCOBAR REMIX of OUTTA MY HEAD (AY YA YA), INVISIBLE, and the enhanced VIDEO of OUTTA MY HEAD (AY YA YA).

This album features down-to-earth vibes with cool funky styles comibining rock, pop, and some punk hints. There's Ashlee's attitude filled tracks like Outta My Head (Ay Ya Ya)/Love as "respect" is demanded with references to bad behavior not being accepted and chatter that is just WAY TOO MUCH and "messing" with the mind. The bonus DJ AM/ELI ESCOBAR REMIX brings the club techno sounds bouncing with trance, drums, and catchy dance beats definitely worth the purchase alone. INVISIBLE is a fabulous track and the video not ever released [nor here] is also slamming. It's got a much desired effect for those who want to feel empowered, strong in thought, and just on top of the world despite adversity.

Fun tracks like BOYS, and MURDER are definitely relatable to the average music listener and MOST DEFINITELY the single person! A top favorite WHAT I'VE BECOME has the part where she sings, "There is not a pill to save this heartache" yet emphasizes that she's happy to have begun to find herself. NEVER DREAM ALONE is a slower paced song with the topic of love being so magnetizing as to bringing two souls to feel their passions close--definitely thought provoking. RAGDOLL is a the more grunge type song with the vibe of "don't treat me like a ragdoll!" Another favorite, LITTLE MISS OBSESSIVE and NO TIME FOR TEARS bring the thoughts of being strong despite a love hard to let go. The first being a bit obsessed with that "special someone" wishing and desiring him/her but not really being able to let go or just hoping and obsessing. The other track, NO TIME FOR TEARS has the "I'm not taking it" message of being in control, not getting weak, and just being full of confident streaks.

The tracks RULE BREAKER, BITTERSWEET WORLD, and HOT STUFF bring an Ashlee with wild sides definitely appealing, daring, and a bit more rebellious than her previous albums. The music in this album is catchy, infectious, and definitely party filled with dance ambiance, pop funk, and more. It's about going out of your mind, saying what comes out without thinking, dancing in the dark, and rebelling against "that" someone that has rubbed you the wrong way. The beats are hot stuff, the messages are bittersweet with love, and the mood is feeling a bit obsessive for more! There are no fillers but a solid hit packed album definitely not elegant or highly sexually charged yet strong on its own merit--with a hoodie on NOT a mini-skirt or heels.

Catchy Album 5 Star Review
2008-06-26 - I think Ashlee grows higher for each album. Bittersweet World is a very catchy album with a gem at it's end.

Outta My Head - Very good intro for the album
Boys - A very "sunny" song with good beats
Rule Breaker - One of my favourite - Good beats very groovy
No Time For Tears - More electric beat but catchy too
Little Miss Obsessive - A good song with a slower beat and good lyrics
Ragdoll - I call this song Outta My Head 2 because when i listen to this song just after OMH i think it goes very well
Bittersweet World - The title track sounds very good and the end is just amazing with this sort of sounds
What I've become - More elctric than the rest of song but sounds very good
Hot Stuff - One of my favourite too - Good Vibe for this song Amazing
Murder - My 3rd favourite cause I think it is a very "Ashlee" type of song and the featuring is just incredible
Never Dream Alone - Beautiful Song - A Gem
Invisible - Everybody knows it, great
Outta Ly Head Remix - Good to dance on It

A very good ablum in my opinion. Ashlee doesn't afraid of creating new stuff and I think just very cool

Not so "Bitter"-sweet 5 Star Review
2008-06-23 - I like this CD. It's not as... Ashlee as her previous work. But it can hold it's own. My favorite tracks from this CD... "Outta My Head", "Boys", "Rule Breaker", and the BONUS track "Invisible" are worth having this CD. But it!
