Be With You Reviews:
Atomic Kitten aren't Spice Girls
2004-07-08 - Atomic Kitten think that they are super stars and they do wrong things. I bought that single not because I like Atomic Kitten(I hate them)but because when I heard that song I like it. Trust me. Do not make the mistake to buy that single. The remixes are awful. Especially the 4th.... Don't buy anything about them.
If you like girls group buy something from these groups, which they have very beautiful girls with good voices(Atomic kitten are sooooo ugly): Spice Girls, Girls Aloud(definitely better than atomic Kitten and sexy girls with very good voices), Destiny's Child(Beyonce has perfect voice), Sugababes, Mis-Teeq....
If you have any idea about good pop girls band you will find my opinion helpful.
Love the song but lose the remixes!
2003-08-24 - As you probably know if you've read my 'About Me' area and read my reviews, I hate remixes. But I have said the only remixes I actually like are Blue and Atomic Kitten ones because they're usually not those annoying dance ones just funky different versions of the song that are 3-4 minutes long.
But this single's remixes are completely different. They're the 7-8 minute long ones I despise!
I love Atomic Kitten, don't get me wrong (they're in my top 4 favourite bands - Blue, Atomic Kitten, Spice Girls & Mis-Teeq), but this single could have been better. Where are the bonus tracks? On their "Tide Is High" single there were 2 bonus songs, and on their "Whole Again" one there was a bonus song and a GOOD remix.
The song itself, "Be With You" is a finely crafted slice of Europop with a bit of dance mixed in for good measure. The chorus is extremely catchy, I dare you not to sing it. Liz sings the main vocals on this song, with Tash getting two verses. Jenny does all the main backing vocals throughout the song. The video features the girls dancing in a club full of people.
The radio edit of "Be With You" is the best song on the CD. The Milky 7" Edit (track 2) is alright too, it has a swirly, glittery, floaty beginning with Liz whispering "I really wanna be with you" and then launching into a club hit. This is the edited, shorter version of track 5, the full club version, which is 7 and half minutes long and monotonous. Stick to the 7" edit. Track 3 is another club version - I've heard Groove Brother remixes before and they ALL sound like this! Track 4 is an Extended version of "Be With You", and sounds like the original with extra music and choruses.
Overall, I love the radio edit of "Be With You", the Milky edit is alright and the extended version is cool, but overall this single is not worth buying. My version says on the front 'All the UK Club #1 Remixes'. Buy it if you like remixes. But stick to the double A side "Last Goodbye / Be With You" for some normal length songs and bonus tracks.
