2009-03-24 - I can only imagine what sort of unholy focus group thought a manga about Avril Lavigne saving the day would be a great idea. The dialogue is terrible, the art isn't exactly top-notch, and the story... well, what story? It's a cash-in, pure and simple.
But I'm being a little unfair to the book... I'm sure it'd be great for fixing a wobbly table leg.
Too bad camilla took this on.
2009-01-19 - This book caught my eye because I recognized Camilla's artwork! When I saw Avril Lavigne's name on the cover I felt like puking, but I toughed it out & started reading it. I was hoping Avril just wrote the story and had no part in the book, but she makes herself a main character in the book & glorifies herself by making the main character obsessed with her! Avril must really see herself as some God or something because that is how she wrote the young girl to see her, I hope she doesn't see all her fans that way because it is pathetic.
The artwork is amazing of course, it just sickens me that Avril ruined it.
A dark but somehow enchanting caution tale. 
2008-05-15 - Well the ending was basically spoiled for me by one of the reviews on here, but even so I couldn't wait to get this book. It was everything I expected uit to be, and more. This review will contain spoilers, so please do not say I didn't warn you.
Hana makes her wishes, thinking they'll turn out just like in those fantasy movies where you tell the genie your wish and POOF! the wish comes true. She doesn't think about how these wishes will come true, and thus is crushed when, because of her wish for her parents' happiness, her parents end up splitting up. The wish demon explains that her father will now be with the other woman and be happy, while after time passes her mother will move on and find someone she'll love, and neither will be trapped in a loveless marriage. But of course, Hana never thought things through like that, and was still unhappy. And time after time, Hana goes through tragedy because of what she wished for and when she makes her last wish, to meet Avril in real life, she thinks the demon tricked her when she ends up dressed as Avril and looking almost just like her, thus being a real life Avril. And rather than live through all this tragedy and rise above it, like she was meant to, she jumps off a bridge to try and get rid of her mistakes and of the wish demon. The wish demon never wanted her to kill herself, and tells her that she was suppose to live in the end. He had never tricked her, giving her exactly what she wished for, even meeting Avril (who was in disguise at the time so Hana didn't realize it). By the end there's a chance she survived, but it's never explicitly stated that she survived.
The moral to this tale, in my opinion, is this:
-Things do not always turn out how you planned. What you want and what you wish for may be two different things. But just because something bad happens, that's no reason to quit. What you have to do is live through the bad times and rise through the tragedies that life has. If you give up on life just because of the bad, you'll never live to enjoy the good the future might bring.
Probably only for Avril fans 
2007-12-17 - I really enjoyed reading this manga; however, that's probably because I'm a fan of Avril Lavigne. Overall it's amusing for just a few minutes.
Based on trite melancholic themes, it's about a lonely pre-teen girl, lost in a headphone haze from listening to too Avril Lagivne, who uses five wishes given to her from a demon to make her happier and more popular.
Despite the cheesiness, Avril Lavigne herself is written into the 2nd volume in an ending I didn't foresee.
These books are great!!!
2007-09-21 - I have searched for something to get my pre-teen daughter interested in reading, and this series is great! I could't find anything to keep her interest, but she's is a huge Avril fan and when I saw that she was involved in writing these, I knew this would do the trick!!! She loved the first book, so I bought this one as soon as it was available!
She says that these are FUN to read! Yeah!!!
