He Wasn't Reviews:
Kylie-Avril
2005-12-14 - To that girl who wrote about Kylie Minogue:
You say avril has an all about me attitude. Kylie named her album after herself, and said "I" 16 times in the first song I looked at. Anyways, all songwriters talk about themselves some. But I don't think Kylie writes her own music, now does she? Also, if she is so great , why hadn't i heard of her untill i read this review? You also said if we want some good pop music we should go to Kylie Minogue. I'm not looking for some all happy, pop princess. I'm looking for rock. Avril admits that the whole world isn't perfect. I listened to some music by kylie minogue, and all of it has the same techno beat. Some people may like her, but she, or should i say her songwriters, write a totally different kind of music than avril! How could you compare the two?
Answer to Reviewer: Charox-Lover (NJ, USA) : ARE YOU KIDDING ME???
2005-10-29 - Do you really want us to buy Kylie Minogue instead of Avril???
What are you talking about?! Let's see how much Kylie's sales improved after your review!!!
Great song, overall great single
2005-10-02 - Hmm.. unlike immature online reviews here, like Charox-Lover's review, Avril IS a great singer. He Wasn't is a great fast song for those cool parties.

Chalk up another good one
2005-08-02 - This exciting artiste from Ontario burst on to the music scene at age 17, with her excellent debut album "Let Go" in 2002. With notches under her belt for hit singles like "Complicated" and "Sk8er Boi" and several others of similarly high caliber, her follow up album "Under My Skin" arrived rather quietly with songs like "My Happy Ending" and "Don't Tell Me".
The latest single from the second album is "He Wasn't", a step back to the Avril of "Let Go", in your face, rocking Avril, heavy on the guitars and attitude.
"He wasn't what I wanted, what I thought, no.
He wouldn't even open up the door.
He never made me feel like I was special.
He isn't really what I'm looking for."
The single has three versions of the same song, the original, a live full band performance and a live acoustic version.
Avril goes back to her roots here, proving that she can switch between rock and ballads without difficulty.

Avril Rocks!
2005-06-03 - I love Avril Lavigne! I have had the awesome opportunity to see her in concert live twice! She is an incredible artist! And, in rebuttal to the review just below mine by "Lover", Avril is a very talented artist and she is nowhere being a hag! Avril is original and very tasteful with her music. Everyone should give Avril Lavigne the chance that she deserves. She is an incredible artist and deserves her share of recognition.
