Outstanding representation 
2009-11-29 - The seller was very honest in their representation of this product and I received it fairly quickly (within a week).
THERE IS ONLY ONE REASON TO PURCHASE THIS CD!!! 
2009-11-13 - I can't believe nobody had touched on this in any other review. As far as Greatest Hits collections go, this is pretty weak when compared to other Barbara Mandrell collections. BUT.... With that said, this compact disc is the ONLY WAY TO GET A DIGITAL COPY OF THE SONG "WISH YOU WERE HERE" (track 3 - awsome song!). So it makes it well worth the price not to have to find a LP in decent condition and try to get a clean archive of this song. If you are a true fan of Barbara or classic country collector like myself, this CD is a MUST HAVE!!!

2008-02-09 - The music is the same from when I listened to the album as a child in the 80's. The music is classical country and timeless. The only regret is that it has been digitally remastered for CD quality which is why the 4 stars. It sounds identical to the records growing up. That being said I recommend the CD unless you crave your music to be remastered to CD quality. If you don't care then buy all means buy the CD and let the music take you back.
A Great Collection Despite a Few Omissions...
2004-08-07 - Released between studio albums during her recovery from a devastating 1984 car crash, this encompasses Barbara's hits between 1979 and 1985.
The new song added to this collection for single release was "There's No Love In Tennessee", reaching #7 on the Billboard Country chart in 1985. This collection also contains 9 other Barbara Mandrell hits, including 4 #1's: "I Was Country When Country Wasn't Cool" (1981), "Years" (1980), "(If Loving You Is Wrong) I Don't Want To Be Right" (1979), and "One Of A Kind Pair Of Fools" (1983). The others were all Top Ten hits: "Wish You Were Here" (#2, 1982), "The Best Of Strangers" (#6, 1981), "Happy Birthday Dear Heartache" (#3, 1984), "Crackers" (#3, 1980), and "In Times Like These" (#4, 1983).
The obvious omissions from this release include Barbara's one other #1 from 1982, "'Til You're Gone", plus her Top 5 duet with Lee Greenwood from 1984, "To Me" (#3, 1984), "Fooled By A Feeling" (#4, 1979), and "Only A Lonely Heart Knows" (#2, 1984).
Otherwise, for the new fan looking for a place to start, this collection, along with 1979's THE BEST OF BARBARA MANDRELL, gives a great retrospect of Barbara's recording career from 1975 to 1985.

2003-01-18 - This is a must-have for any fan of 1980's country music. Barbara Mandrell paved the way for today's ladies like Shania Twain and Faith Hill with her contemporary sound. Every song on this album was a top 10 hit!!! Most were #1 hits!!! I highly recommend this album!!!
