Editorial Review:
Limited edition pressing of their smash top three 1998 albumwith two bonus tracks added: 'She's On Time' & 'Long Way Back Home', which are the same two cuts that appeared on thefirst 100,000 copies of the U.S. edition, and are long gone as the album has sold over 1,000,000 copies to date. 15 cutstotal, also including the hit single 'One Week'. The bonus tracks are hidden, but they are on the disc! A Reprise release.
Description of Stunt:
The Ladies have done more than lie in bed the way Brian Wilson did; they've spent some quality sandbox time mastering the intricacies of catchy pop records, hooks and all. Sounding at times like Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young after a week in the Caribbean, the Ladies mix a dash of rap with a pop backbeat on "One Week," while "It's All Been Done" is classic 1960s Top 40, right down to the "woo-hoo-hoo" backing vocals. The lyrics are the hidden joy on this record, with lines like "I love you more than I did the week before I discovered alcohol" and the male voice singing about tying his pantyhose around his neck. The songs are well crafted and the production flushes out the Ladies' hidden musical talents, resulting in their best effort since Gordon. --Katie Sigler
Stunt Reviews:
Great album, but where r the extra tracks??
2005-03-04 - Great album, but I can't find the extra tracks. (I know they're not listed as tracks, I realize that), but they should b at the end of the album and they're not. Oh, well, I'm happy with it otherwise!
with two bonus songs!
2000-07-13 - I'm sure that you already have the real verison of this album...everyone does. But this limited edition has the two extra songs Long Way Home and She's On Time. Long Way Home is a countryish songs, that is ok, nothing great. But She's On Time is classic BNL. It's about not getting your girlfriend pregnant and hopping that...well...she's on time (sort-of like that.) It is a funny song about not becoming a dad. Plus this album has all the other great songs on it that you already know about.
BNL never fails
2000-06-21 - The Barenaked Ladies always entertain and never disappoint. While they are best when seen live, this cd is a great way to have them in your house at your command. This CD isn't as good as Gordon or Maybe You Should Drive but in my opinion it still is incredible. The Limited Edition is something every real Barenaked Ladies fan should have. The music on this CD is very enjoyable and always a lot of fun. Even if you are a new fan to BNL, get this one. You'll love it!
Great CD
1999-05-14 - I love the songs on their Cd "Stunt" Everyone should buy the cd if the liked One Week or It's all been done.
One of BNL's Best!
1999-05-11 - i've been a bnl fan for 3 yrs now and i have 3 cds from them Rock spectical, stunt, and the limited edition and i love all of them! I was not old enough to get in to gordon and mysd and boaps! but if they r still in stock i will get them! I love "Who needs sleep" and espally "one week" and "some fanstic"! it reminds me of there goofy taste! All of the other songs are good except "in the car" it's ok but the rest are better! I reccomend it to every one who likes goofy but serious way music! and last but not least my favourite is "long way back home"! it has a good rythym! i am sorry those who could not get the limited editon! shoud have acted faster!
