The Beatles Complete (Easy Guitar) Reviews:
Taught myself to play guitar with this book
2009-11-24 - I love Beatles music and found this great book over 20 years ago and used it to help teach myself to play guitar. The book has easy to read chord fingerings and knowing how the song goes it made it easy to learn. I bought this for my brother so he hopefully can do the same thing. I have bought other music books that were much harder to read and understand. This one is perfect for me, hope it will be for you.
Great beginner Beatle guitar book
2009-10-06 - Don't whine if you are looking for tabs, intricacies, etc. This is a beginners guitar book. If you want all the bells and whistles buy the Beatles Complete Scores (everything is there). I use this book to run through Beatle songs because most of the music is printed on no more than 2 pages (no flipping pages for most songs) and if the song is not in the incorrect key, I transcribe it which is easy enough (although many songs are in the correct key). The arrangements sound good. Good solid songbook. BnB Beatles Depot
The Best, Chapest and Easiest Beatle Fake Book
2009-08-06 - I have had this book for decades, have given it to many aspiring guitarists and continue to use it to entertain people at parties, pic-nics, etc. (I can't memorize chords)
Pretty much all the Beatle'songs, Can't go wrong with this purchase.
I bought three of them!
2009-01-24 - I like the books! This book has provided hours of entertainment for me and I have been able to share fun times of singing and playing with friends and family.
I bought two more so me and my sons could all be on the same page!
I still can't play all the chords for every song, but the number of dog-eared pages that I can play keeps increasing.I really like how for every song, it gives you the first note on the guitar for the vocals.
I also own "Beatle" The Complete Scores, but I only pull it out when I want to know what the original notes were.

Useful, but not for Beatles songs
2008-11-10 - If you're just starting out on guitar, you need to learn to move between chords easily. This book can help you do that. It has a large number of songs that utilise basic chords. It also has the words and the vocal melody for a large number of Beatles songs, so you can sing along while you play.
The problem, as other reviewers have noted, is that the chords in the book don't correspond with the actual Beatles songs. They aren't even the chords that would correspond if the actual Beatles songs were put into a different key. The authors have simply taken a Beatles songbook for vocalists and added arbitrary chords that sound good together but have nothing to do with the actual songs on the page.
I still use this book a lot, because I need the chord-changing practice, and it's a lot less tedious to do that while playing along to a song I know (or at least pretending to play along to a song I know). But I also want to learn to play Beatles songs - that is, songs that someone listening would recognise as Beatles songs - and I'll have to buy a different book for that.
