Description of With the Beatles (1990):
They still had plenty of covers to fill out the running time, but the Lennon-McCartney writing team was gathering steam and beginning to knock out pop classics as if they were pulling them out of thin air. "All My Loving" and "I Wanna Be your Man" come from this record, issued hurriedly to capitalize on English Beatlemania. But even when they were laying into some classic Chuck Berry, by this time the Beatles had acquired a unique sound in the blend of John's and Paul's voices, while George was coming on by leaps and bounds as a guitar player. While not absolutely essential, as a snapshot of a band in a place and time, With the Beatles is good for a smile. --Chris Nickson
With the Beatles (1990) Reviews:
Great
2009-11-30 - The Beatles.
Remastered.
What more needs to be said.
I had the American version (The Beatles 2nd Album) of this on vinyl and had digitized it years ago, with this in my collection it is like having a double disc because of the different songs on the 2
Also great in stereo
2009-11-26 - I was a bit worried about the stereo version, after all what has been written about the limitation of the two tracks recordings. Actually it's very good and makes for a new listening experience if you are used to the mono version.
The album itself is of course damn good. Money and Please Mr Postman are Rock'n Roll at is best !
Worth it for sure !
Beatles
2009-11-14 - If you listened and enjoyed the original music of the Beatles'; you will certainly enjoy the remixed sounds with all the new toys and gadgets we have today to listen to them with. Great Sound.
The change is barely discernable
2009-11-03 - For me the ostensible improvement is barely discernable. It was not really that important. I was actually looking to replace old CDs. The phenomenon of the Group is the point for me. These four guys found themselves in a musical zone that few can even contemplate. Therefore it is a good collectors item.
You are going to Love It!
2009-10-18 - You love the Beatles? Then you will love the remastered versions.
That's it short and sweet.
