The Beatles: Archival Treasures: 1964-1971 Reviews:
A RIP-OFF, A WASTE OF MONEY....
2008-01-22 - There is hype, and then, there is this junk. Archival Treasures lures one into thinking that there may be something special inside a snazzy tin box, perhaps some Beatle footage or some special music. Nope. Nada. Nyet!
The box lures you in with the possibility of winning a piece of history or some sort of memoribilia, instead it gives you a documentary on some idiots memoribilia collection and all you get is a cheap copy of a copy, of a copy, of some Beatle concert ticket that wouldn't have gotten you access to the men's room located 25 miles from where the Beatles played!! In fact, they should have done a documentary on all the men's rooms, that way it wouldn't have stunk as bad as this box-tin!
After searching the contents and booklet that tells you the same info on the amateurish cd, you are left asking yourself, "where's the rest, is this it?" My first thought after discovering I'd been had....was...."someone just dreamed up a way to make money to go out and buy more memoribilia for themselves and everyone who buys this tin will fund it, thinking they are getting something grand.."
Now aren't you glad I warned ya?
Very unique set for the Beatles collector
2007-06-19 - This thing is so cool. I actually got one of the tins with the original memorabilia in it. I thought long and hard before I finally opened it, but I am glad I did. The TV show has so much background stuff, it is awesome, and the booklet shows color images and values of Beatles stuff. I bought another one to keep sealed for my Beatles collection.
Is this a joke?
2007-05-31 - This presentation is truly garbage. Amateur production, no real Beatles content, no music, mostly useless footage and commentary about dime-store Beatles trinkets. Even more boring: The two "moderators" look and act like refugees from a low-rent 1970's night club act. Overall, this DVD is insulting to the Beatles' legend, to the viewers' intelligence and to the plastic it's burned on. Save your money.
Great Gift Idea for Music Fans
2007-03-19 - This DVD was GREAT. It was very entertaining and featured some really cool Beatles' stuff that I'd never seen before. There were also some goodies enclosed in the tin that I enjoyed reading and one that was suitable for framing. Also, the DVD has a really HOT guy as the host (and for you guys out there, the co-host is beautiful).
great beatles gift item
2007-03-15 - Nice gift item for any Beatles fan - gives inside look into Beatles collectible industry. The tin package looks great.
