Bjork: An Illustrated Biography Reviews:
Good Book For Bjork Fans
1999-12-31 - This book has gorgeous close-up photos of Bjork. It is organized very neatly and attractively. However, the information is a bit scarce. Die-hard Bjork fans will not learn many new things from this book, but the photos are worth it.
this book has the best pictures ever
1999-09-14 - the pictures are so beautiful!!! ok, that describes all. if u are a björk fan, who cares bout the contents. the internet has better stuff. i bought this book just for the pics.
Disappointment quickly set in!
1999-05-27 - I really think this book left something to be desired. The pictures were good, but are the only part that are credited to the source. The text seems to be hear say and reads like a magazine article; I don't think the author has ever even had a conversation with Bjork. I could not find one credit or source listed in the book, other than the pictures. The pictures are not captioned as to where or when they were taken. I was just really disappointed. I wouldn't waste my money..Again. Maybe I am wrong, check it out for yourself.
This book is the most beaufiful look into Bjork's life.
1999-04-17 - If you are obsessed with Bjork like me, you'll love this book. It has pictures of Bjorks' early years with the Sugarcubes, pictures of her solo, and even baby pictures!! This book rocks and encludes some of the coolest pics of Bjork that you'll want to rip out and hang on your wall!
I miss you, but I haven't met you yet...
1998-08-11 - For any hardboiled Björk-fans like me, this is definitely a must have! It covers her entire life, from the very beginning (singing Sound of Music at the age of 2) up until right after release of her second album Post. Info on all bands, has a selective discography, tons of beautiful pictures, and is actually quite informative. For people not familiar with a lot of Björk history, this is a good starting point, but it should also be able to feed any die-hard fan with atleast some new details.
I would have bought this one even if it was twice as expensive!
