Cocoon 2 Reviews:
An excellent song to make love to... 5 Star Review
2002-06-24 - This single is more than worth it... just for the art cover...and cocoon is one of the best songs to cuddle up next to someone.A great singleoverall.

Sun In My Mouth-tastic! 4 Star Review
2002-06-08 - This is yet another example of the quality remixes and recompositions of a Björk single. "Cocoon," the album version, is naturally an astounding track, which is also the most experimental of the tracks on Vespertine. If you like Björk and enjoy growing musically with her, "Cocoon" is a must-have! "Pagan Poetry," the music box version, is the stumbling block of this single. It is undoubtedly a masterful feat for a music box, but lacks that "umph" of some of Björk's other music-box experiments, such as Vespertine's "Frosti." However, "Sun In My Mouth," recomposed by Ensemble, is mind-blowing. It is worth buying the single solely for this exclusive track, especially if you enjoy the album version as much as I did. It is tremendously more upbeat, yet it does not destroy the haunting beauty of the lyrics. All in all, Björk pulls out all the stops -- once again.

Best "Vespertine" B-Sides! 4 Star Review
2002-04-21 - First of all, the cover art shown and the tracklisting is for CD 1, and so I will review that one. It features the intimate electro-ballad "Cocoon" from "Vespertine." This isn't the most radio-friendly song, but well worth listening to. Of course, most won't, but then how many great songs go on ignored? The B-Sides are for the fans. The "Pagan Poetry" music box track is featured in Bjork's acclaimed world tour from last autumn and winter. And the remix of "Sun In My Mouth" is one of the best reworkings of a Bjork song ever, featuring programming by Ensemble. It maintains the original vocals intact, but everything else is a half-orchestral, half-electronic blur. This is true Headphones Techno.
