Play Dead (Remixes) Reviews:
live to the point of tears 5 Star Review
2005-07-09 - I have loved Bjork since i was a little boy, and after her countless...amazing music, this still remains my most favorite song of hers, ever!! it is absolutely beautiful

Lovely! 5 Star Review
2003-02-23 - This is a great song, but the remixes of it are barely different at all from the original, so I'd best reccomend getting this on an import version of the full-length album "debut".

2002-10-24 - This song is amazing! When I heard it, I fell in love. I love the orchestra sound. It's so beautiful. And her voice is amazing. This song is definately worth hearing. It's going to be on her greatest hits cd too so you should check it out.

= so-so 2 Star Review
2002-01-10 - This song was very popular on the UK charts in 1993 for a season. But despite PLAY DEAD's good lyrics and production, I don't really care very much for the song compared to most of Björk's work. It lingers 'round the bottom of the Björk totem pole in my book. "Darling, stop confusing me with your wishful thinking, hopeful embraces ... don't you understand?" Very nice lyrics, though. The song drags a lot, and its very "orchestral" nature seems to try and dress up a basic and predictable ballad. Oh, but she croons it with all she's got! Perhaps the melodrama is its biggest flaw.

play dead -bjork 5 Star Review
2001-09-05 - This quick-paced yet ballad-like song is intriguing and different in a time when pop, heavy metal, and rap seem to dominate the music scene. Bjork's powerful voice is an extreme relief when you can't take any more of the same old useless songs about shallow love and heartbreak that won't last a day. The lyrics are poetry, simply speaking, and Bjork conveys them with a clear purpose and interest. There are many different ways that you could interpret the words and her imaginative vocal movement throughout the song really helps the listener to understand her feeling.
