Does not do Bjork's videos justice
2009-04-16 - Bjork's videos are beautiful masterpieces by some of the most creative director's around (not exluding Bjork), but this DVD unfortunately does not do them justice. The video compression is poor quality, and the music sounds like an mp3. Totally unimpressed, especially considering this is a DVD and I can watch this stuff on YouTube for not much less quality. Another strange thing is the videos are separated not by title, but by chapter. This makes it difficult to navigate on a PC,

If you want a comparison of what Bjork's videos actually could look like, check out Chris Cunningham's version of 'All is Full of Love' on the Director's Series DVD's. The picture is sharp and full of colors, a drastic contrast to the washed-out gray, blurry, and compressed visuals of this DVD. The sound is even better (louder too), with everything more clear, and lacking the washiness of these mp3-like transfers. The compressed videos on this disc offer a little white flickering line at the bottom of the screen that makes it appear the video was processed quickly through a video editor. If you really want to see Bjork's videos in all their glory, go pick up the Director's Series.

Bjork and these directors deserve a full-quality transfer that allows their work to shine in the format as much as possible. Maybe one day the label will release something that lives up to that.

2007-03-24 - These music videos are very artistic and intrinsic. The CD is much better when you have seen the videos. I really like the emotion of the songs that you can understand after watching the movies.

2007-03-20 - This is an excellent introduction to Bjork's World. Every song stands on it's own, but also flows so logically to the next. I plan on buying this for several friends!

Amazing, Inspired, timeless
2006-12-15 - I welcome someone to suggest a better collection from any Pop star in the last decade. Madonna has surely seen this collection and I'm sure was completely humbled.

This is art music, accessable to all, with art imagery.

I can watch these videos over and over again.

Joga, Venus as a boy, Oh so quiet, State of Emergency, Hidden Place.

These alone are worth the entry fee.
