Editorial Review:
Standard: 1CD of 10 new tracks in a jewel box with a four-panel insert.
Together Though Life, produced by Jack Frost, was prompted by the composition of a new song, "Life Is Hard," which was written for a forthcoming film by French director Oliver Dahan (La Vie En Rose). Bob Dylan's latest studio album was recorded late last year and features 10 new songs including "Beyond Here Lies Nothin'" and "It's All Good." This will be the 46th release from Dylan, following his Platinum album Modern Times which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart in 2006.
Together Through Life Reviews:
Stop here please, I'm getting off
2009-12-01 - Bob's been doing it by numbers for far too long now. But we've got Blonde on Blonde, Highway 61 and Jokerman to remember how good he once was, so let's be grateful and pass by quietly.
The Test...
2009-11-19 - The test of a good CD is when you stick on one or two tracks, but that expands as you let the album play in its entirety. This CD meets the test. Nothing knocks me out on this like when I first heard the song, "Things Have Changed", but this CD has reeled me in. Good job, Bob.
The Times They Are a-Changin'
2009-10-27 - I saw him perform this album, this fall, at Berkeley.
I saw him perform in the autumn of his career.
And I have mumbled to myself since.
Two things get better with time: wine and Bob Dylan.

2009 Bob Dylan record on CD.
2009-10-23 - Bob Dylan has been around for so long and he still manages to put out interesting music. This record is no exception and might be one of his best. Dylan performs with a full band, and plays plenty of electric guitar as well, on this one.
I Want to Like It, but...
2009-10-21 - I really want to give this CD more stars, because the songs are great, but I can't give it more than three because of one thing: Dylan's voice (or lack of one). Dylan has never been known for his vocals, of course, but now it's just sad. He sounds like an old man with a terrible sore throat and head cold on most of the tracks. He really has not taken care of his voice, and it's actually painful to hear Dylan trying to hit notes in these songs. I'd like to hear someone else sing these songs, because they really are great songs.
