Second best Japanese heavy metal studio album 
2003-03-05 - After "Disillusion" by Loudness this is the second best Japanese heavy metal studio album currently available on CD. This album is a little more diverse and not quite as technical as "Disillusion". It has a different style but rocks almost as hard. If you like Asian Volcano and a record company is smart enough to release "Hard Dog" also by Bow Wow, which I still have on vinyl, then pick it up as well because it is just as good.The lyrics on these albums sounds like a mixture of English and Japanese, with more of a tendency toward English.

2002-01-02 - Wow !!! As in Bow Wow!!! I thought their recordings were gone and forgotten forever until I decided to take another look at Amazon today. You may have stumbled across this by mistake while looking for a godawful 80's new wave band or silly rap kid, and if so you are in for a musical education Tokyo style. Bow Wow was the first Japanese hard rock/metal export,re-locating for a time in England and gaining some notoriety for playing the Reading Festival in the early 80's. These were the guys that opened for Kiss when they first visited Japan in the mid-seventies. They had a sensational guitarist in Kioji Yamamoto. Musically they bring to mind early Rush,Van Halen and Deep Purple with an oriental twist.The vocals could be a little bit of a turn off,occasionally sung in Japanese mixed with English;it can get very weird. Still recomended for fans of 70's hard rock. "Touch Me I'm On Fire" is a powerful rocker with a riff that sticks in your head.
