Bowling For Soup's follow-up to their gold-certified A Hangover You Don't Deserve, the new album The Great Burrito Extortion Case has the hit new single "High School Never Ends" as well as the heart-wrenching ballad "When We Die." This album mixes wit with pop culture references and has a slew of guest producers from Butch Walker (Avril Lavigne, Pink, etc.) and Adam Schlesinger (Fountains Of Wayne) as well as guest writers Butch Walker, Adam Schlesinger, Stacy Jones (American Hi Fi), Zac Malloy, and Mitch Allen. Absolute.

A Great BFS CD
2009-01-07 - This group must have as much of a blast writing and singing their songs as I do listening to this CD. This CD has to make one feel good and give one a few chuckles. Their use of analogies in their song writing is what really gives the songs the qualities mentioned above. The song, "When We Die", is a serious song but still top notch quality with the writing and the message it delivers. A must buy. These guys are good and will not disappoint.
The Best So Far
2008-12-22 - I have listened to just about everything Bowling For Soup has put out and this album is so far the best... Before I bought my ipod, I actually wore out 3 copies of the CD. (Yes you can wear them out....) I just bought copy #4 to load on my iphone. The lyrics, are true yet funny without being too cynical... some of songs are so true to life, not fairy tale romance music, but the real crap that goes on in relationships. I enjoy the music just as much as the lyrics and I disagree about the song "I'm Gay." If you've ever seen BFS play it live, you'd never get tired of it... my only wish: a rerelease of SOHO that most of us could get our hands on and EMILY on itunes video along with some other BFS videos. 2008-09-05 - this cd is pretty good, but not as good as drunk enough to dance or a hangover you dont deserve. if you love those two cds you may be a little bit dissapointed.
This is The best and funniest album ever realeased!
2008-08-16 - I absolutely love Bowling For Soup. I liked this album because when I'm in a gloomy mood, it really makes me feel better than ever. If you know who they are but have not listened to a song, I think this is the first album you should buy! The Great Burrito Extortion Case is a pretty funny name and is probably a big clue it will be funny. Once you listen to the songs you will be blown away and singing along!
One great use of this album is when you get in the car, stressed out, and going home from work, you can keep this in your car and then if you have a cd player, you can insert the cd and let the happy, funny feeling begin! It might just work for you people who work in an office or work in a similar position. If you work in a factory and tired driving down the road with this playing may really hit the spot.
This band is a pop band, NOT A PUNK BAND or PUNK POP like the others are saying.
The band Bowling For Soup may sound weird but it is funny. The album covers are cool and really attract attention. The front cover contains a fold-up type booklet that shows pics of the band and a poster (NOT SUITABLE FOR HANGING ON THE WALL BECAUSE IT'S PART OF THE FRONT COVER). If I were you, I'd keep the booklet in the case and look at it CAREFULLY!
I mean really, The songs High School Never Ends and I'm Gay are really goofy songs but can really make you enthusiastic! I'd have to say "High School Never Ends is probably one of the most meaningful songs because it's talks alot about what goes on in High School.
NOTE: The song I'm Gay means the definition in happy. NOT SEXUAL ORIENTATION.
Anyway, i think this album will really make you have the time of your life! In the meantime, BUY THIS ALBUM!
