Description of ...Baby One More Time:
Debbie Gibson never recorded anything as sexy as Britney Spears's white-funk smoker "...Baby One More Time." Unfortunately, neither does the 17-year-old Spears's debut album contain anything else that remotely approaches that instant hit single. A few of the disc's cuts are pleasantly catchy, but too much of its space is given over to icky ballads ("E-Mail My Heart"?) and other unconvincing moves such as the dancehall-lite "Soda Pop." --Rickey Wright

A Solid Pop Debut
2009-06-24 - General opinion seems to be that Britney Spears has minimal vocal talent, and while this may be somewhat true now, it certainly wasn't true at all in 1998 when her debut album was released. Britney has a rich, throaty, even somewhat soulful voice that she uses to full effect on each of these tracks. From great late 90s bubblegum dance song to slow groove ballads, Britney interprets each with ease and without autotune or other vocal effects that seem so prominent now. The songs may be the standard pop fare of the era, but Britney brings them to life.
Britney shines on her debut album
2009-04-01 - ...Baby One More Time is forty-two minutes and twenty seconds released January 12, 1999. ...Baby One More Time reached #1 on the Billboard 200 Album charts (six non consecutive weeks) and has gone 14× Platinum. The album won a Billboard Music Award for Female Album of the Year in 1999. The songs on this cassette are a mixture of dance pop, teen pop and bubblegum music. Britney Spears covers version of The Beat Goes On is not that great; Sonny and Cher did it much better. Four of the eleven songs charted. She got her first of two number ones songs. Britney would have to wait ten years for her second number one hit. At the end of the cassette on side B, Britney Spears gives a few lines of her upcoming songs. ...Baby One More Time by Britney Spears gets an A+ from me.

2009-01-27 - I hope no one thinks I'm gay, but she is a pretty good singer! I received this as a present 10 years ago. I still have it, and sometimes listen to it. My favorite songs are Baby One More Time, and (You Drive Me Crazy) If you love Britney Spears, you'll love ...BABY ONE MORE TIME!!!

2009-01-15 - This album is THE BEST ALBUM EVER MADE (as far as popular music goes)
This Is some of Britney Spears's best work and it really shows off her incredible voice and talented vocal range. Buy this and you will definately fall in love with Britney's music. "Sometimes" is the best track and be sure to buy this album if you know good music.
