The Beginning of an Era.
2005-02-16 - She now entrances us with her sparkle-clad body, or with her unexpected style. She got our attention similarly, with her first single '...Baby One More Time'. Originally, the video was going to be a cartoon or computer animated or something, but Britney steped in and said she had a better idea; one that would start her amazing career.
Now, the originally sexy Catholic-school girl has won a Grammy and out-sold Madonna and Kylie in the past 5 years. She's been the only female recording artist to have four consecutive #1 debuting albums, and two of them have gone Diamond.
This was the single that started it all, and it's kind of worth having, just for the memories of watching this cute, southern girl starting a career for herself.

2004-04-24 - I was always into Christina and never was into Britney but i wish she made it this way this one was enjoyable and entertaining at the time I did not like it but now it is good.

2003-06-14 - I was getting bored with all the music out there till Britney came on the scene. She is funky and is not afraid to admit she is beautiful. She may even be stuck up but I believe that all of us would be if we looked like that! She is very talented. I love this song. Anybody who disses her needs to stop!

2003-02-01 - One Sunday afternoon in January 1999 I saw a video by a new female singer - Baby One More Time by Britney Spears. At first I didn't like it; I thought she was too much of an attention seeker. The video certainly made an impression, however. Over the weeks that followed I gradually began to get used to the song and before I knew it, I loved it! Baby One More Time was released at the back end of February 1999 and went straight to No.1 the week it was released selling a staggering 470,000 copies in its first week in the UK alone! This was by far the fastest and biggest selling debut single of all-time in the UK. The song went straight to No.1 and sold 1,450,000 copies in total, making it easily the biggest selling single of 1999 - and is currently No.24 on the list of the biggest selling singles in the UK of all-time. The song was certainly catchy - and so strong for a debut single. The video is probably the most cleverly made of the 1990's; Britney had the concept of her in at school in a Catholic schoolgirls' outfit. The video appealed to girls who could identify with Britney's need to break out at school and dance around in the corridors. It also appealed to the men who were transfixed with this "vision of beauty" on their TV screens...

Baby One More Time was written by pop wizard and hit maker Max Martin. The song begins with a superb and instantly recognisable beat - the three strong piano notes that dominate the song. Britney's voice is very good on Baby One More Time - she gets to showcase her whole range. The verses are about a girl who has let her boyfriend go and that she wants him back. She is mourning him in the verses, before building up the bridge by singing about how she wishes she could have him back before bursting out into an electrifying chorus with superb beats, melodies and one amazingly powerful bassline. The song has some superb lyrics and Britney really sells them from the bottom of her (broken) heart - no pun intended; From The Bottom Of My Broken Heart, song from Britney's debut album Baby One More Time. 1999 was a great year for Britney - her debut album sold a whopping 20 million copies worlwide, she won 4 MTV Europe Music Awards, had No.1's all over the world and performed at sell-out concerts the world over. Those days seem to be gone, but if you want to re-live those memories of just exactly who was the most popular fermale artist of 1999, buy Baby One More Time now!

1999-08-15 - Ok, yes i admit it. I liked "Baby One More Time" when i heard it at first. But after hearing it about a million times it got very old. I was over at my friends who had bought this cd and it was horrible. With cheezy songs and a bad voice, Britney Spears has made a CD that is much worse than you would expect. She cant sing! SAVE YOUR MONEY!
