Editorial Review:
Australian two track CD pressing of the second single lifted from Britney's 2008 album The Circus. The A-side is the title track from the album (written and produced by Dr. Luke) while the B-side is the Mike Rizzo Funk Generation Radio Remix of the first single, 'Womanizer'. Jive. 2009..
Circus Reviews:
Britney's Take Charge Moods Create A Smash!
2009-09-27 - Britney presents a single with "on your face" fiery tigress attitudes that appeal! Britney is tamed yet ready to take front center stage with fast paced highly energetic paced music to get any dance adrenalin rush junkie on the fast track to wanting more! There's no doubt she's in a mission, in control, and ready to take on anything or anybody. This is the type of messages, music, and singing to feel uplifted, and in the mood to party, dance, or feel in the funk for more!
"Circus" is a definite show stopper off Britney's album Circus. "I'm like the ring leader I call the shots" would have to be my favorite part. She shows much pizzazz in her vocals, a beautiful resonance that is neither harsh on the ears nor breathy. It's a Britney in full control as the music takes the messages with her singing on a spiral full swing full of fire that is dance-fully friendly and very much catchy, infectious, and masterful.
The Womanizer Mike Rizzo Funk Generation Radio Mix [3:51] has a super fast forward speed to enhance as the vocals are definitely conserved and the electronica effects are present. The bass-lines, claps, and synthesizers are all on full force to create more techno trance vibes neither intense nor overcharged but in the lines of non-stop hyperactive beats that can make a listener shake, dance, or feel in that mood. The mix takes several dips but then accelerates to top notch speeds! Not a huge transition from the original vocals, the mix manages to make its mark of being spectacular and very club friendly. Other great song lyrics, "You must mistake me for a sucker... I'm never gonna fall for you..." Obviously, this is a grown-up Britney spreading life-lessons to stay clear of bad boys who will get their one night stands. Guys who like the beats, listen and learn!
Great remixes
2009-08-04 - A must have for any Britney Spears fan. Great remixes on one cd. If you're thinking of getting the physical copy of the cd single to "Circus", this is the one I recommend. Don't just download the EP from iTunes, own the cd single. Track listing is as follows:
1. Circus (Album Version)
2. Tom Neville's Ringleader 'Remix'
3. Diplo Circus Remix
4. Junior Vasquez Club Circus
5. Circus (Video)
Loving this spectacle
2009-04-13 - Highlights how Britney sees her life in the public eye, comparing it to a circus with "All eyes on me, at the center of a ring just like a Circus", reflecting how her life has been portrayed and followed through tabloids and other media means, how it is all entertaining to all of those watching when she "puts on a show" but there's more to it lying behind. Personal favorite right here, it can easily be the best song Spears has come up with and put out there, the beats are so innovative, contagious and have this dark circus, mysterious sorta deal along with heavy strumming and pure pop elements to it that makes it spooky, it almost makes it R&B.
The remixes are awesome, they're so dance-ready!
nice to get a decent package of mixes on CD instead of download only!
2009-03-23 - This is pretty much a flawless package in terms of the mixes on here--and the fact that the least impressive mix is the shortest. After the original mix, track 2 is the near 8 minute Tom Neville mix, which magically transforms this track into an atmospheric electro dance track. Truly a wonderful alternative tone to the original. The short Diplo Circus mix is a little bit more than 4 minutes I could do without. It's a real clunker. As for the Junior Vasquez nine minute mix--this mix would have been huge in 1999, because it definitely has that hard synth riff he was using back then. It's not a bad mix, but it certainly doesn't sound current...
Another great, catchy song from the Princess of Pop!
2009-02-17 - This CD-Single has two tracks: "Circus" and a remix of Britney's #1 hit "Womanizer"...
Overall, the song "Circus" is an amazing, catchy, fun song full of attitude and backed with a great dance beat. It was perfect for the second single from Brit's hot new album, and people obviously like it because it debuted at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100- her highest debuting single ever! The video was also a true gem in her career, and she looks gorgeous in it!!!
The remix of "Womanizer" is O.K.- in my opinion, that's one song that people just shouldn't try to mess with.
