Do Something Pt.2 Reviews:
*Do Somethin* Or --> Rock In The Clouds
2009-10-09 - This is a fabulous 2 track pocket type card sleeve single with the Album Version of "Do Somethin'" backed by the remix-- off of Britney's album Greatest Hits: My Prerogative. It's packed with "attitude" electronica enhanced vocals, dance up-tempo blends and more!
The first, is the "Album Version Do Somethin' [3:23]" with much impacting on your face vocals by Britney making it quite clear that she is ready for action with that special someone. This song is good for just about any spin a music listener can put on it. The vibe is a blend of pop, dance, and even rock. The style is catchy to an extent, easily singable and very much fun. This is one of my favorite tracks off the Greatest Hits along the other exclusive "I've Just Begun (Having My Fun)" which would have been an excellent second song here. The electronic meshed with guitar brings a new sound very creatively done. And while the world of guys are not always up for making the first move, this song makes it clear: DO SOMETHING!!
The second track, "Do Somethin' DJ Monk's Remix (Radio Edit) [4:13]" is very similar to the first track preserving the vocals, but adding almost 1 extra minute of music plus club hints. The energy is slamming with heavy beats, rapid elevations, and much high energy non-boring nor tiring to listen to. This is music to boosts the moods, feel elevated to the clouds, and free to express. The musical beats stress this with more extras like "electronica" background vocals not heard on the first. It's a fantasy vibe to experience as the music takes a dive to this adventure!
Terrible
2005-08-28 - The tracklisting for this CD single is horrible. It only includes two tracks. The album version is good, but the remix is mediocre at best. Not good enough, and not enough tracks. Awful.
