I'm a Slave 4 U Reviews:
Buy it for Intimidated! 4 Star Review
2004-05-26 - Britney is amazing. Her voice isn't that strong, but she still manages to make funky, groovy dance tracks, mixed in with her usual pop formula. This is why she continues to be so successful the world over.

1. I'm A Slave 4 U (Main Version) (4/5)
This is also known as the Radio Edit. It is Britney's oddest single to date. It has such an unusual beat. It goes completely away from the normal Britney pop, and into more RnB beats. It's good, albeit a little weird. I like the lyrics though, and the funky beat. This wasn't such a big hit in America, but went top ten in a lot of other countries. It was the first song off the "Britney" album.
2. I'm A Slave 4 U (Instrumental Version) (4/5)
I used to wonder what the point of instrumentals were - but now I know. They rock - I love them. This is basically just the music from behind "I'm A Slave 4 U", without Britney's vocals. It shows off that odd beat even more. Instrumentals are great, and this is no exception. I'll rate it the same as the song with vocals
3. Intimidated (5/5)
This is the high point of the single! This is an amazing song. It has very electro rock sounding music at the beginning, teamed with Britney saying "Ooh, I see you over there. Don't be shy, come here" in a sexy voice. Britney actually sounds good on this track, unlike other songs where her vocals are weak. The chorus is very catchy. This song is about not being afraid to ask someone out. I also love the "B-R-I-T-N-E-Y" part in the middle. I love it, one of Britney's best songs.
4. Interview (4/5)
At the time of this single release, this interview was up to date. Now it's not, because it's over 2 years later. But this is a good indication of how Britney was around the release of this single.

Cover art - Britney looking gorgeous as usual.

Overall, a good single with a fantastic bonus track that should have been on the mainstream albums.

best 5 Star Review
2003-12-30 - I love this song. Reggae feel to it. The beat alone is great.

Poor 1 Star Review
2003-12-21 - This single is poor. This song are terible. I don't recommend to buy any singles because there are just 1 song.

Not that bad... 4 Star Review
2003-12-01 - Teen singer Britney has grown up, and although her voice hasn't improved that much, her lyrics try to express the feelings of a woman instead of a girl. Seeming to be heavily influenced by Vanity 6's "Nasty Girl", this song is Britney's first attempt to record something sexy and while she is no Janet Jackson and her childlike voice doesn't fit the song, it is still better than most of her other songs.
