The California Quintet, Buckcherry Returns with BLACK BUTTERFLY, a 12 song set that strides forward with the kind of confidence and spirit you'd expect from a band that feels it constantly has more to prove BLACK BUTTERFLY captures the band's ability to master a diverse repertoire of songs. The album erupts with fierce, fast-paced rock tracks like "Rescue Me" and "A Child Called `It'." Yet "Don't Go Away" is a melodic, mid-tempo plea "about being vulnerable, longing to be with a loved one but feeling so far away," Todd says. Buckcherry does throw a bit of a curveball out of the box on BLACK BUTTERFLY. The first single, "Too Drunk...," is a slinky and sexy track that takes the band in yet another kind of direction, while still retaining a muscular, rocking core. Buckcherry hopes to continue that path with BLACK BUTTERFLY - at least as much as they can, considering it's one of the most highly anticipated releases of the year.

Which edition should I buy? 
2009-09-07 - I'm mad and confused. I've held off buying this CD. I really like this group and have all their other CD's. All the reviews here are from last years edition of this CD. This edition has Highway Star but does not have Too Drunk listed. So If I buy last year edition of BUCKCHERRY - BLACK BUTTERFLY. I can get the song Too Drunk but not Highway Star. If I buy the new edition I get Highway Star but not Too Drunk. Then there is the fan club edition which has 2 extra songs which both songs sound good but does not have Highway Star but it does have Too Drunk. So for me to get all these songs I have to buy all three edition. Or at least 2 editions. There is enough room on the CD to put all of these songs on one CD. So at this point I buy none. I'm mad. And it not just this group. This is happening more and more and it's a rip off to the fans.
Black Butterfly is worth the buy !! 
2009-05-15 - I loved this CD, but I wil admit to having to have it because I loved the song Rescue Me, and I knew that there would be other great songs on the CD like it. I was not disappointed. I can put this on and turn it up and rock the house and be super happy ! I can't get enough of Josh Todd.

2009-03-02 - No Stars.Buckcherry might as well be Aqua, it's stupid and the singer's voice is awful. If you like terrible music, you should listen to this and hinder and nickelback.
