Editorial Review:
In the quick-turnover world of hip-hop Busta Rhymes proves that charisma aligned with sharp intelligence and stylistic flexibility ensures staying power. He emerged in 1991 as the linchpin of Leaders of the New School, and the loose-limbed jazz inflected "Sobb Story" from that band's debut shows the strength of Busta's musical roots. He's able to court mainstream favor while staying true to his musical inspirations; he's equally at home getting frisky with Janet Jackson on "What's It Gonna Be" or using dub technique and ragga style on "Woo Hah!! Got You All in Check." His well-defined sense of fun and daring knows few limits. "Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See" combines deep African grooves with a sample from soft-rock specialists Seals & Crofts, while a kids' chorus from '50s musical The Ugly Duckling adds weight to the fearsome "Get Out." Busta's larger-than-life presence has made him a burgeoning Hollywood star, but Total Devastation shows that his music will guarantee his longevity. --Gavin Martin

The Best of Busta Rhymes Reviews:
It's got the hits 4 Star Review
2006-07-18 - This CD is great if you don't want to scrounge for all of Busta's hits, plus it's got s*** on there that you wouldn't think would make a greatest hits. They're all bangers tho.

Busta Rhymes is definitely one of the most unique rappers alive - not the best collection ever but it's still great! 5 Star Review
2006-01-09 - I don't know what everyone else is thinking, but Busta Rhymes is one of the most unique, interesting and strange rappers alive today. He's definitely a strange guy ala the Wu-Tang Clan, but his raps are clear, funny and sometimes even quotable. This is a great collection which I'll admit gets arguably a little slow towards the end, but the beginning is fantastic. I was never truly "into" Busta Rhymes before (I'd heard his hits), but now I can see just how talented he is (he's VERY strange - see "Dangerous" for a good example). He has an instantly recognizable voice and personality that, besides possibly the Wu-Tang Clan, you won't find anywhere else. Except for the first two tracks (which are from his Leaders Of The New School days), everything is from his solo career. Overall I think most rap fans will love this album, and those just looking for his hits will find them all here. All in all this is highly recommended!

Highlights include:
the entire collection!

Best of Busta Rhymes 5 Star Review
2005-09-07 - This album is a compilation of his first few albums including when he was with his original group. It's crisp and every track has that Busta Rhymes flow that we all enjoy. If you don't have every album from this artist then just start here.

It's got "Rhymes Galore". 4 Star Review
2005-03-14 - I must admit I was a little late getting into Busta, but now that I'm in, it's alot of fun. He has a great flow, and is definitely unique among his peers. This is a super "best of" that includes everything that I (a casual fan), have ever heard from him. Most of this is good, but my faves are "Woo Hah!! Got You All In Check", "Dangerous", "Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See", and "Party is Goin' On Over Here". Plus it has "What's It Gonna Be" with Janet, and the cool "Turn It Up(remix)/Fire It Up", which samples the theme from "Knight Rider". After one listen to this sweet collection, you'll be saying "Gimme Some More".

Great 4 Star Review
2004-05-27 - I recently purchased this CD and was previously aware of Busta Rhymes' work but not a fan. This is my first purchase of his music and I'm pretty much hooked on him now! He's pretty cool, funny and a really good lyricist. The beats are unique and his style unlike anthing I've ever heard or seen before. I dig him.
