The Coming Reviews:
collection 5 Star Review
2009-09-15 - Awesome price. Just another album for my Ipod. I have never had a bad purchase from Amazon.

He Made Sure Everything Remains RAW! (Rating: 8 out of 10- -4.0 stars) 4 Star Review
2009-01-23 - If I had as much knowledge of rap music back in '93/'94 as I do now, It wouldn't surprise me if Busta Rhymes was going to end up having a solo career after the Leaders of a New School group was falling apart. His voice and delivery was very unique and creative, as shown on T.I.M.E. and on various ATCQ tracks. Each track here on his debut has a lot of energy and his vocals are in full force, great for any fans, from the lead single "Everything Remains Raw", and all throughout.

Deeper in the album, there are many great tracks here to enjoy. One of his most recognizable singles is "Woo Ha!! Got You All In Check". Busta and his younger cousin, also a member his new group (at the time) Flipmode Squad, Rampage go back and forth on "Abandon Ship" which is surprisingly good. "It's A Party" featuring Zhane has a nice vibe. Q-Tip drops a nice verse along with Busta on "Ill Vibe". My favorite colab track is the eight minute "Flipmode Meets Def Squad" with Jamal, Redman, Keith Murray, Rampage, and Lord Have Mercy. Each verse is straight A game, and the beat is dope too. "Keep It Movin'" is the very last Leaders Of A New School song we'll hear (and I doubt that it was newly recorded). After the good "The Finish Line", Busta closes out the "Outro" with his infamous countdown to the year 2000.

Some of the tracks were not favorites of mine like "Hot Fudge", but overall the album is excellent. Busta will follow up with When Disaster Strikes, with much more great singles. The Coming is an easy purchase for many fans who want to remember Busta's old fast and gritty rhyme style. The production and the guests here all match up with Busta. Definitely worth owning. Peace.

Bus'a'bus goes solo 5 Star Review
2008-10-15 - Released a couple of years after Leaders Of The New School disbanded, The Coming proves that Busta Rhymes was in fact the most energetic and relevant member of the group. Here we see a more mature, but equally spastic and zany Busta.

From mellow jazzy tracks like "Still Shing" to Busta's signature fast paced bangers like "WooHah", this album is very versatile. Busta rules the entire album with his unqiue flows and complements the production with his rapping like few other rappers can.

The only dull track on the album is "It's a Party", which has a very monotonous flow to it and covers some very typical themes. But this is really not even important considering how consistently good the other tracks are.

Classic 5 Star Review
2007-07-01 - Sick like cancer... Busta's the coming was one of those classics that gets play daily on my stereo... A def 96 banger son!

He must bring da ruckas to all you know the rest 5 Star Review
2007-02-26 - Busta Rhymes hit the world like a ton of bricks when he made this classic effort The Coming. His wild and crazy rap style keeps you clinging to every word plus the skits on here are pretty funny. The all the guest appearances shine on here except for Keith Murray and the production was fire. Songs like DO MY THING, EVERYTHING REMAINS RAW, ABANDON SHIP(Rampage sounds pretty good on here), ITS A PARTY WOO HAH!! GOT YOU ALL IN CHECK, ILL VIBE(yo yo word), FLIPMODE SQUAD MEETS DEF SQUAD(everybody's verse was fire except Keith Murray's), STILL SHINING show that Busta Rhymes was great just the wasy he was. Bottom Line: Busta Rhymes' The Coming is a hip hop classic in its own right. This Cd is for everybody who wants to remember him for who he was back then and not who he is now.
