Description of Shrek 2 (Full Screen) / Shrek 3D - Party in the Swamp:
The lovably ugly green ogre returns with his green bride and furry, hooved friend in Shrek 2. The newlywed Shrek and Princess Fiona are invited to Fiona's former kingdom, Far Far Away, to have the marriage blessed by Fiona's parents--which Shrek thinks is a bad, bad idea, and he's proved right: The parents are horrified by their daughter's transformation into an ogress, a fairy godmother wants her son Prince Charming to win Fiona, and a feline assassin is hired to get Shrek out of the way. The computer animation is more detailed than ever, but it's the acting that make the comedy work--in addition to the return of Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, and Cameron Diaz, Shrek 2 features the flexible voices of Julie Andrews (Mary Poppins), John Cleese (Monty Python's Flying Circus), Antonio Banderas (Desperado), and Jennifer Saunders (Absolutely Fabulous) as the gleefully wicked fairy godmother. --Bret Fetzer
Shrek 2 (Full Screen) / Shrek 3D - Party in the Swamp Reviews:
Not the Original but on my list Of favorites
2009-10-23 - When I first saw this movie to me it was a suprise But less Vishuly Amazing than the first But It was Real Good you will not be Disipointed .
I'ld even say it's better than most animes!
2009-09-16 - Woah, what a film! I couldn't help laughing aloud on several occasions while watching it yesterday. My favorite scene must've been the commercial for "Knights", a parody on the popular TV show "Cops". Everything is brilliantly made. With voice actors like Carmen Diaz, Antonio Banderas, Mike Myers and Eddie Murphy, plus SFX and GFX by Pixar, there is absolutely NOTHING to complain about on the audiovisual side. The script is well written, and when you deal with animated actors, there is not much that CAN be done wrong in the directing. The colors are just as beautiful as in Shrek 1 and follows the same color scheme, with a lot of green and red-pink-purple in shimmering, psychedelic, fairy-tale shades. The humor is of course also brilliant. This ISN'T a movie for kids, the animators were adults making a movie to be enjoyed by other adults. Some of the humor won't be comprehended by your children, and if you're a conservative right-wing Christian, you might have some difficulty explaining to them why everyone else in the movie theater is laughing. But if you're liberal and want to take your kids to the movies or they're begging you because it was such a long time ago, then here is your obvious pick!
The best of the Shrek movies (up to the third one)
2009-09-13 - Of the three Shrek movies available, this one was, by far, the best. The humor is great along with the use of modern music. The romance between Shrek and Fiona is even better than the first one.
Fairy Godmother, her operation and her son Charming are a great addition to the Shrek storyline. The team of Puss-in-Boots with Donkey is great. Eddie Murphy and Antonio Banderas really work great together.
What I have enjoyed about all the Shrek movies is that pre-teen and older children can enjoy them. At the same time, parents, who grew up in the 1980's (like me), will find a number of references that they will enjoy even more than the children.
Don't get me wrong, I like all the Shrek movie - even the third one that a lot of people don't seem to like. I just think this one is the best.
Grand kids favorite
2009-08-28 - Geat movie, keeps kids entertained for hours, no profanity, sorry Eddie Murphy, you can do clean movies too!!!!!!!!!!!

2009-07-06 - I love the video. Its funny. and not just for kids. I collect all movies. Especially sets. If I have one of any movie I have to have the whole set no matter how many are in it.
