Editorial Review:
Purple 180G Vinyl.Tomb of The Mutilated is the third album by American death metal band Cannibal Corpse. It was released in 1992 through Metal Blade Records and is the last album featuring founding guitarist Bob Rusay. The album was banned in Germany until June 2006, due to the cover art. Chris Barnes' vocals on Tomb of The Mutilated are exceptionally guttural, and the liner notes proudly state an "Electronic Harmonizer was not used to create any vocals on Tomb of The Mutilated".

Tomb of the Mutilated Reviews:
Quit taking it so seriously 5 Star Review
2009-12-09 - This review will be short. This is a death metal album and nothing more. It's heavy, brutal, and disgusting. Sometimes thats all you need. I will not lie to you. The lyrics are not the best writen in the world but who really cares. On a techinal level it is pretty solid though not as complicated as some would have you believe. Again, who cares. It's death metal through and through.

HELL YEAH 5 Star Review

FTband666 4 Star Review
2009-03-19 - Great album! Great songs! Hammer Smash Face is one of my favorite Cannibal Corpse songs. Im just a bigger fan of George Fisher's vocals over Chris Barnes'. Otherwise, i would've gave it a 5.

Kinda boring.... 3 Star Review
2008-12-31 - Honestly, I wanted to like this album; but it was a little boring for me. The guitar work is unimaginative and the drumming is at best mediocre(not fast enough). I enjoyed the first three songs, but after that it went downhill. The vocals are fine but a bit monotone, and the lyrics are pretty stupid. I'm more into Morbid Angel, Deicide, and Death and other faster bands; I wanted to like Cannibal Corpse but I'm just not a huge fan of gross-out lyrics and sub-par instruments(bassist is good though).
Butchered at Birth was way better...

Absolutely Brutal! 5 Star Review
2008-08-17 - When i first heard this album almost 15 years ago i was thinking this is almost unlistenable, Chris Barnes' voice is immpossible to decphier, but then as the years went by i realized that this was a classic, a one of a kind, everything about this album is brutal from the cover art to the song titles, u almost feel like you're breaking the law just by listening to it, and in the end thats what makes this a must have!
