2008-09-03 - Excellent & powerful death metal by a terrific band. Put this on to revive you in the afternoon - works better than 3 shots of expresso.

"Vile" is Cannibal Corpse's most underrated album in their discography but I see it as one of their best CDs featuring Chris Barnes' replacement vocalist George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher. I actually have a bootleg demo of the "Created To Kill" sessions and when I compare it to "Vile" I notice that Chris Barnes' vocals seems out of place in the songs and doesnt really sound good. George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher is obviously a better vocalist for Cannibal Corpses Latter albums and he can sing a lot faster than Barnes could allowing the band to take it up another level on this album. "Vile" is simply amazing, this album is my second all-time favorite Cannibal Corpse record and I can't get enough of it. Both Jack Owen and Rob Barrett really improved on their guitar skills and it really shows on songs like "Disfigured", "Relentless Beating", and "Devoured By Vermin". One thing that blew my mind was Jack Owen's guitar solos on the tracks "Puncture Wound Massacre" and "Eaten from Inside", I never knew you can get such a high-pitch sound out of a guitar. This is a must have for any Corpse fan.
Warning: This album is not for those who can't stomach lyrics about blood, gore, and torture.
Buy this album...it's worth every penny.
pretty good
2007-10-17 - Just okay album on the whole in my opinion, but one song stands out and is worth having the cd for: I find absolute death metal perfection in the song "Perverse Suffering", an Owen-penned MONSTROUSLY RELENTLESS PUMMELING JUGGERNAUT that to my ear is now ranked among the finest death metal songs in the entire history of existance.
Brutal as always...
2007-09-15 - Vile is a brutal, sick and f...ed up album.. just how I like it.. Ever since I saw their camo in Ace Venture playing "Hammer smashed face" I knew that this was the best source for pounding death metal.. It`s not the best album in the world, not the most creative, but it is great if you just want to hear some fastpaced metal...
Worse of humanity
2007-06-19 - You'd get the same effect by farting and belching into a microphone. Hey adolescents of the world, wouldn't THAT be extreme? Utter garbage from start to finish. No musical quality at all. Talentless hacks.
