  • Editorial Review:
Kirsten Dunst (BRING IT ON), Sisqo, and Ben Foster (TV's FREAKS AND GEEKS) shine in this hilariously hip comedy! After Berke (Foster) gets dumped by Allison, the hottest girl in school, he'll do anything to get her back! Against the advice of his buddies Dennis (Sisqo) and Felix (Colin Hanks -- THAT THING YOU DO!), Berke desperately follows Allison into the high school play! But when he's inept onstage, Berke gets bailed out by his friend's little sister (Dunst) ... who just might be the one to help him get over Allison! Also featuring Martin Short (FATHER OF THE BRIDE) and Shane West (DRACULA 2000) -- nothing goes as planned in this entertaining treat!

    Get Over it Reviews:
Unussually entertaining hig school romance 5 Star Review
2008-05-03 - This movie is not perfect, but it has moments of poignant romance and others of absolute hiliarity. Kirsten Dunst was wonderful. This movie is a semi-musical farce. I mean farce in its proper usage: not a term of derision but rather the highest and hardest form of comedy (as distinguished from satire for instance). Or put it this way- Shakespeare-s comdies are farces. Except maybe for the Merry Wives of Windsor. A good farce is very very hard to do. And there are moments when this film descends into Burlesque- and others when the humor gets clunky. Despite its uneveness this is still an immensly entertaining film. Even the minor supporting characters are a hoot (Ed Begley jr and Swoozie Kurts as the parents of our haplessly infatuated hero, for instance).

My healing movie 3 Star Review
2008-04-08 - After a break up with a serious girlfriend my first year out of high school my boys dragged me to this movie. Get Over It is a pretty decent film.I saw a lot of myself in the lead Ben Foster and his best friend played by Colin Hanks reminded me of all my best friends rolled into one. All the girls in the very are sexy but Kirsten Dunst, Carmen Electra and Milla Kunis take the cake. While the film won't win any awards it's a fun film. The only bad point of the film is Sisqo who makes a horrible acting debut.

Get Over It 5 Star Review
2007-12-29 - I purchased this DVD as a Christmas gift for my neice. She was happy to get it.

Get Over It 3 Star Review
2007-10-19 - Sometimes you just need a movie that has no clear value. The story of a student body doing a stage show of Shakespeare probably has been done before, but this show has funny spots, schoolboy/schoolgirl crushes, and all the work of putting together a respectable show. Martin Short really outdoes himself as the director of the show, with grandoise dreams that spiral down to the idea that this show might not work out, thereby damaging forever his reputation. With a few changes by the students, the show really comes together with some funny lines and a beautiful song. Good cast: Martin Short, Kirsten Dunst, Ben Foster, Colin Hanks, Ed Begley, Jr., and Swoosie Kurtz, to mention a few! Just a fluffy film!

Fun teen movie 4 Star Review
2007-05-10 - I didn't have great expectations for this movie. I figured it would be just another teen movie. However, "Get Over It" totally went above and beyond my expectations.

Kirsten Dunst is gorgeous as Kelly, the true talent in the play. Shane West plays the villian incredibly well, and although you love him, you really want him to lose in the end. Martin Short is hilarious and a laugh a minute, and the supporting cast all do a very good job of keeping you entertained. Ben Foster does a great job as the slacker trying to win his girlfriend back.

I truly would love to see a live showing of "A Midsummer Night's Rocking Eve" if ever available. From the random songs to the entertaining dances put together by Dr. Desmond Forrest Oakes, I'm sure it would prove to be a very entertaining night.

Watch this movie, and then watch it again. It is funnier each time you watch it.
