Editorial Review:
Everyone loves a Cinderella story. In 2006, the glass slipper belongs to Cassie, thanks to her smash debut single "Me & U". Just like the single, her debut album Cassie is infectious, seductive, and deep.

Description of Cassie:
While much has been made of former model Cassie's leap into the R&B ring--the vampy, MySpace-fueled first single "Me & U" topped more than a few best-of-summer lists--almost as much has been made of the wispiness of her voice. But what those who have stopped straddling the fence know is that the pillow-lipped beauty makes up for what she lacks in vocal power with an abundance of less obvious musical proficiencies: Cassie's a master of sass, a guru of guile. Hear it not only on the mildly menacing and seriously thrilling "Me & U," but also on "Long Way 2 Go," a merciless tease aimed at an amorous man who really ought to have known better. The rest of this brief disc bumps along on the greatness of its beats. Master blaster and producer Ryan Leslie (also Cassie's beau, it's rumored) strings together a minicourse on sampling as he slyly dips from old-school jazz to disco to vintage flamenco. Credit Cassie, though, for concocting a whole lotta 'tude. R&B has a whispery new minx. -Tammy La Gorce

Cassie Reviews:
Take The Ride To Kiss, Touch, & Fantasize! 4 Star Review
2009-09-27 - This Japan Import Album is executive produced by Ryan Leslie and P. Diddy Bad Boy for Life for NextSelection. Co-executive producer is Harve Pierre. Cassie is the fresh face music artist providing eye candy with sugar coated vocals, soothing refreshing styles and sensual vibes.

The entire listening experience is laid back mellow and mid-tempo R&B jams with love themes, fantasy thoughts, and some attitude. Featured artists are definitely present although not listed on the tracks. There's a hip-hop mesh on other tracks like "me&u" Remix Featuring P. Diddy & Young Joc. The bass thumps in tracks like "Call U Out" as the element is hip-hop fresh, with catchy beats and hooks that repeat, "I'm gonna call u out, aah ahh..." It's about knowing your guy is not with it as she sings, "I've been watchin' you for a minute I already know/What you're doin' you can't hide it from me/come on now..."

There's harps, bounce, sexy beats, and soft on the ears singing off the charts excellent. While not every track is a hit, the songs manage to bring thought provoking desires, wants, or plain fantasies. The beats are catchy on songs like, "just one nite", "me&u", "long way 2 go", plus bonus tracks when your body is talking" and "me&u" Remix Featuring P. Diddy & Young Joc.

Rap, hip-hop, R&B, and some up-tempo is blended nicely to make an album about having fun, enjoying romance or just plain fantasizing about it. The production is excellent as both Ryan Leslie and P. Diddy have a reputation for making great music. The lyrical writing is pretty good for the beginning stages of Cassie although more life-lesson type themes along happier attitude club dance tracks could have been a stronger direction. Overall, if R&B is your thing and laid back styles of music to sit back, relax, or just unwind with candles alone or with someone then get this selection and take yourself there.

Amazing Debut 5 Star Review
2009-05-01 - 3/5 stars? Pffft, please. Yes her voice isn't that strong at all and she kinda talks through some of the songs, but it still doesn't take away from the fact that it is great music. I prefer the spoken vocals at times, it makes it more accessible for those of us who can't belt or hold a note. But overall, the album is just really good. I love the "chunky, simplistic" production of it all. And it's really quirky and creative with nice bass with good hooks. Just love it.

Excellent Album 5 Star Review
2008-11-25 - This CD is awesome I really like it Cassie is an awesome R&B singer I like her Music and her songs mean a lot to me they really do the songs that she sings mean so much to me as I said before Music is my life I probably would be writing poetry if there were no Musicians in this world Cassie can sing and she is an awesome singer and I wouldn't say that if I didn't mean that Cassie is such a wonderful Musician and as I said before her songs mean something to me they really do and unlike other young kids in this world I'm probably the only young adult that appreciates R&B singers like Cassie and Cassie is not a wannabe her Music is excellent she isn't overrated she can sing she isn't a terrible singer and she's not a wanna be and the music that she makes isn't Bad Music so therefore I really don't care what other people think about Cassie she's an excellent R&B singer and you know I'm getting sick of other people saying that Cassie is overrated because she's not overrated and immature and yes Cassie has a lot of talent and I don't really care what other young adults think about Cassie I like Cassie as an R&B singer and as I said before I don't really care about what other people think about Cassie I like her Music and Cassie herself doesn't care what other kids think about her Music unlike other kids she's honest about how much money she makes which is probably $250.000 and higher while other kids lie and say they make $250.000 and higher when they don't I know this because the kids in my town are nothing but liars period I'm the only kid in my town that is honest and I'm not some punk I don't do the things that they do if you asked me personally I'll tell you that I'm straight edge.

Hmmm...4 stars and heres why 4 Star Review
2008-09-11 - Cassie's debut is better than Amerie's second & third CD's, or for that matter any Danity CD. Her voice is just a touch better than Rihanna's, not by much but at least she put forth the effort to hold the note.
That being said, I agree with the other reviewer that said she is geared for teenage ears. There is nothing wrong with her shaking that particular tree. It's actually better than all the no names over at Disney that are selling out arenas with absolutely "NO" mainstream airplay. However, the real star of this particular show is Ryan Leslie, he put his foot in this record. Diddy & Ryan needed to save some of this for Danity and Day 26. I could actually groove to some of the instumentals. The question remains, can she pull it off again? With a little vocal coaching and some serious beats to match this...The girl might be going places.

Uummm, WOW! 1 Star Review
2008-05-22 - Diddy was tripping when he signed her. Her voice sounds so bad, that it's not even funny. Don't buy this album, it sucks!
