2009-05-31 - I have just recently become aware of Catherine Cookson and her wonderfully moving
stories. They were recommended to me since I am a fan of BBC productions and the like.
I can't remember a time when I have been so stirred and enjoyed productions such as
these. I've told anyone who will listen what a treasure they are and my partner and I
are now reading Catherine Cookson's own biography.After finishing one DVD we can't wait to view another and none has been a disappointment. I love a heart warming and
story that brings tears and these always do.
Champion of the less privileged
2008-04-06 - The movies that are created from the stories by Catherine Cookson are always wonderful to watch. The only thing better than reading one of her books is watching the movie adaption of one.
First Rate
2008-03-28 - Have loved all of Ms. Cookson's movies so far, and really enjoyed this one. Good story - love and war and infidelity and revenge. Catherine Zeta Jones played the role of an unfaithful, unloving wife, but did a good job. The lead role was well played and the best part was that it all ended happily.
