The best "early years" collection. 
2003-10-28 - It's amazing how many times young Celine's music has been repackaged for the masses. I admit that it is a rather daunting task to search through the seemingly endless compilations to find the one that works for you. I had purchased a collection in 1995 entitled "Les Premier Annees". It had a pretty extensive tracklist, so it went home with me.
The more I got to learn about Celine and appreciate her vocal abilities, I really wanted to find that one missing track. That track is her debut song, "Ce n'etait qu'un reve." I just had to have this song. I discovered this was one of the few discs that had it.
Along with that song are fan favourites such as "D'amour ou d'amitie" and "Mon ami m'a quitter." The sound quality on this package is fantastic. The level at which this was mastered is much louder than most of the other compliations. That in itself is a big bonus.
If you are looking for an early Celine compilation, I recommend this one out of them all.
Early Singles
2001-08-06 - This album is a true example of the innocence that Céline's native tongue brings out in her. The words are so soft and fluent. Overall a brilliant buy for any dedicated Céline fan who wants to complete their collection.
A good introduction to Céline's earlier works
2000-07-19 - Long before Beauty and the Beast and her first English-language albums, Céline was already a star in her native Québec. She has been recording albums since 1981, and until a few years ago her earliest albums were only available on records. But 19 songs from 1981-1988 are now available on this collection, including the rarest, Ce n'était qu'un rêve. Céline's mother wrote the song for her twelve-year old daughter and it was this song that joined Céline's destiny with that of her husband and manager René Angélil.
Many of Céline's early hits are featured here, including D'amour ou d'amitié and Ne partez pas sans moi. Also included are a number of B-sides (the rare L'amour viendra, Visa pour les beaux jours, etc.) and the complete lyrics to each song. Sorry, no translations are given in the CD booklet. This is an excellent CD for fans of Céline to become aquainted with her earlier works en français. It is well worth the price. Do yourself a favour and buy this CD today!
Great and rare album
2000-05-24 - This CD has great Celine songs that are so hard to find... like Ce N'etait Qu'un Reve, Ne Partez Sans Moi (Instru.) and L'AMOUR VIENDRA! These are never available on CD's except the first on Les Chansons En Or... A Very worthy buy!
